Well to list a few; Yoko Kurama (from Yu Yu Hakusho), Uchiha Itachi (Naruto), and Light (Death Note). I could probably think of more but I'm in a little bit of a rush.

Most of mine comes from games.

Well, I'm clueless right now because the only Final Fantasy game I played was a very old one that was designed for Gameboy Pocket. So, I need someone to fill me in on this.

So, I need someone to fill me in on this. Sepiroth is the main villain of Final Fantasy 7, arguably the best in the series. Aerith(it's spelled Aeris in my country's translations for some reason) is a main character, "one" of the love interests of Sepiroth's rival and game protagonist Cloud. As for my favorites: -Darth Vader(ironically, he isn't the main villain in the entire series, particularly the final episode) -Sepiroth(definitely him) -Char Aznable(heh, he was even more popular than archenemy and protagonist Amuro Ray) -Omega(even though he wasn't the true villain, like Darth Vader)

a/n you won't sound like a n00b if you ask a question, this is a shout out to users in general. We're not 1337 or anything.

Ahh, ok, did think that was it, but i wasn't sure.
In that case, my fave enemies are the Combine from Half-Life 2, as its such a diverse and complicated system they have, and the best bit is that theres still so much that we don't know about them.

I going to make a poll thread about which empire/faction in western sci- fi culture would prevail, so I need all of your help listing these empires/factions. The factions are mainly from video games.
Right now I have these:

Imperium (Warhammer 40,000)
The Empire ( Star Wars)
Tau Empire (Warhammer 40,000)
The human factions from Starcraft
Zerg (Starcraft)
Tyranid (Warhammer 40,000)
The Flood (Halo series)
UNSC/United Nations (Halo series)
Goa'uld (Stargate)
Replicators (Stargate)
Wraiths (Stargate)
GLA a.k.a Global Liberation Army (Command and Conquer Generals series)
The People (Artemis Fowl series)
Skynet (Terminator)
Yuuzhan Vong (Star Wars)
Sentient Machines (The Matrix)
Borg (Star Trek)
Dominion / Cardassians (Star Trek)
Anymore? Please list as much as possible, and remember that it MUST be from western culture.

What about the GLA from Command and Conquer? Don't know weather they'd count as Western tough (their from a western ame but based upon Middle Eastern Terrorists), and their Not really the definition of Ebil, but Ebil nevertheless.
There are the wraith/human hybrids from Stargate.
ur... there's Skynet from Terminator.
