(good point) "Farri Blasta underlorn voskilen arouyun!" [The bastard did now show, return to report] The Calvary of a thousand gildetails turned around and started to head back to the The Challin/Vanguard border where Dalco's forces would all meet.
The Vanguard infantry seemed relieved, "Look!" A Vanguard watchmen noticed a single Irodaunask in black robes in the middle of the field ahead of them.
The Irodaunask performed a dance of some magic spell, soon the gray clouds started rolling in causing the bright sky to dim to a low light, rain just heavy enough to irritate the soldier eyes also started falling, this Irodaunask was obviously a magician. This may seemed like a weak spell but weather altering was draining to a persons energy. He was making it harder for the Vanguard soldiers to concentrate.
Then before they noticed a wave of arrows came flying in. "Arrows! Shields!" The Watchman cried, some did not react in time and received an arrow going right into where there neck and shoulders met.
The Irodaunask archers had to have been a half a mile away, they were... As the Archers prepared a second wave the leader Valadek raised his hand. "Wait, thats enough for now, let them think about reconsidering, if they charge...give them true hell."
(Irodaunask live to be about a thousand years old on average. Which is why I brought back Valadek and now Garfar.)
"Sir, we could crush there infantry right now!" Garfar the Archer Lance Colonel told Valadek. "At ease Garfar," "At ease! Sir this kingdom treated us like animals, they killed Voilin's Village!" "And we have destroyed ten of theres in the matter of an hour." "Yeah but we didn't slaughter them! We spared everyone, even the town guardsmen! If we're going to attack we do it now so when Dalco shows up he can finish them off!" "Garfar! Remember our way!" "We did not hesitate at hellgate! Why do we now?" "because these are fathers, and sons! Not beasts from the Eye! If we give them a moment, maybe they'll turn on their own king. Let them tear their selves apart." Garfar stayed silent. "But to help them do that, lets give them another volley." "

"Testudo!" the king commanded as his men marched close together. Placing their large square shields in a way that made his soldiers appear like living tanks. None of the arrows making any effect on his troops. "Now soldiers, March! " he commanded and in their formation they walked slowly towards their enemies. All of their arrows striking with as much effect as water upon a stone. This battle would be fought properly, with the sword and the fist. "Men, when they come to us, throw them with your shield, and strike them with your swords." (Testudo scottthong.files.wordpress.com/2007/05/testudo.jpg )

"A testudo formation?" Valadek queried. "They're not so fragile as you say are they?" Garfar shot at his own liege. "Doesn't matter, wait till they get close, and when they do...you know what to do..." Valadek told him. The winds carried the message Valadek wanted to hear. The soldiers marched forward, within a hundred feet of Valadek, The Irodaunask had jumped at a height of 20 feet in the air and landed on top of the formation, some landing on the shields so heavily they crushed the soldier under it. they took casualties from stop being slashed but as for the others, they grabbed the shield and ripped it away from them, to then receive a slash through the neck with the bone claw from the Irodaunask, being that some were 'smart' enough to strap it to their arm, their arm went with the shield.
(The Irodaunask don't fight fair, You kinda can when you're not human)

The old man looked onto the chaos from a safe distance. Feeling the pain of the soldiers, drinking it down. The villages were a start but this was all the better.
As all of his men were engaged and taking heavy casualties, the leader of the leigons blew his horn as its sound echod far and wide.
From the forests behind the battle came out a group of Knights, the banners of their kingdom flying in the air.

"Calvary To Our West sir!" Garfar yelled at he crushed the head of the soldier he attacked from above." "Damn! Everyone rise!" The surviving Irodaunask (about 1700 of the original 2,500) Jumped high into the air and landed right where they started. "Scimitars! Out!" The Phantom unsheaved their one sided-blade revealing the saw-like edge with a million smaller razor points. The blade's metal was a solid back and the handle white with the Irodaunask symbol on the hilt (An black-tipped arrow). "The Vanguard want a fair fight! We'll give them one! Charge to the Calvary." Running as fast as the horses were at them, the first to the front either miscalculated and were ran through with a lance, or jumped at the rider dismounting them and tackled them to the ground. The second line ducked under and tried to slash at the horses legs but with them being warhorses it made it difficult and some phantoms skulls were crushed.

"Leigons regroup!"shouted the ground commander as the exhausted troops ran into formation. "Javalins!" he ordered as they began to throw their javalins into the fray not knowing if they hit the cavalry or the phantoms.

Valadek ran at a horse head on, spun around its neck with moves like he was weightless and kicked the rider off to be trampled by the rest of the battle. Then as he began to ride the horse, a javelin ran through the horse and killed it, Valadek looked at the division in the distance and could not comprehend how such rash actions by this king in war, and yet he called his race the barbarians.
"Rise!" The thousand phantom remained were scared but have proven themselves in this very battle as the best of the best. "To the Javelins!" The Irodaunask Cloaks were made of a sail-like material that could allow them to partially glide, more of like falling in a preferred direction. As they sped towards the infantry the wind shoved against their face like a gust, some of the phantoms could not dodge the javelins in time and were taken out before they could touch the ground. Then as they were 100 yards above they pulled out their arrows took one quick volley on the infantry then readied their scimitars, landing on top of them most of the phantoms ran them through.
Valadek fought his way to finally be in front of the king, guarded by two of his probably best warriors. They charged Valadek, he jumped on the first one and twisted his neck till it snapped dead and pushed the corpse into the other soldier. As he tried to get up Valadek beheaded him right in front of the king.
"You cause quite a lot of trouble for the coward you are!" Valadek snapped at him

His reply was, "Stick and stones, now would you like to prepair the terms of your surrender?" he pointed to his side and towards the figure of an old man in the distance. "He always had a habit of arriving at the best times."

"Correction, would you like to prepare YOUR surrender." Valadek pointed to the other side of the field. Challin Forces had arrived, Mages, Calvary, Infantry, artillery. "They always have a habit of showing up at the right time." "How dare you, side with this pursuer, no matter. The Sorcery of Challin outnumbers your friend 100 to 1. Sure they may not be as strong but theres strength in numbers, and the Legions of Challin will crush your pathetic remains." Valadek tackled the king in a blink of an eye and held his dagger to his throat. "It wouldn't be right to kill you though, So I'm just gonna let you watch your kingdom fall, Dalco will be the one to finish you off...But just to satisfy me..." Valadek ran his dagger around the kings left eye then he went in and cut it out. He then pulled an eyeball from one of the beheaded guard and shoved it in the bleeding socket. "Maybe through that eye you'll see your demise," Valadek stood up. "Phantoms rise!" Once again they jumped from the infantry pulled out their bows and extinguished the remaining infantry. "Time to finish this." Valadek sped to Dalco while the Sorcerers of Challin began to fight the pursuer. "Me and my men will help kill the pursuer! You and your forces crush Vanguard once and for all." The Trebuchets threw massive boulders at the city walls. Challin Calvary met to face the Vanguard Calvary and the infantry was busy fighting the reserve forces. Dalco mounted his Black dragon and joined the fight. 100 feet above the Vanguard King he told his Dragon "Help with the siege, I've got buisness." and jumped off the beast with his massive hammer. (Okay may I suggest with the pursuer that he summons some badass creature like Black demons or something, They look like this. Your call.) www.runehq.com/image/monsterdb/Black_demon.png

( Well, pic ain't working ,so I went for the next best alternative. www.krosis.com/imgs/art/full/balrog.jpg ) In an instant of seeing the enemy reinforcements arrive the man began to cant his spells and began his ritual. His foes may be able to match him in magic but they could not face off against brute force. The mightiest force from the heart of the planet. The sky rolled in dark clouds, shrouding the battlefield. A crack formed in the ground underneath their sorcerers as they finished off their incantations and then a mighty explosion sent them flying like ants from the swing of an Axe. The beast snarled, its body a mix of fire and darkness as it began to throw the sorcerers like toys. But the beast would not be here for long, it would have to return into its hoe very soon. Too soon. Immediately he realized that his feasting was over.. for now. the Balrog would hold them off, this kingdom would fall like a domino to their foes. and this domino would trigger the next as the remaining kingdoms would see this new threat and band together to stop the soon to be victors of this war, and a larger war would come here, it was inevitable, and he would help it wherever he could, whenever he could, but for now he would have to stop his feasting, he would have to run away in order to fight again, and that is exactly what he did. Back on the battle field the king lay on the ground deeply injured, half of his men fleeing and the other half that remained scurrying to form some feeble defense against this new onslaught. Knowing that if this city would fall the rest of the kingdom would become a corpse for the Vultures to pick on. He looked up with his one eye to see Dalco coming down to crash into him with his Axe. and that was the last thing he ever saw. (We could continue this with the siege of this city. And how the pursuer manages to gain the trust of the other two kingdoms.)

(Yeah that sounds good their names being Asgard and Vinity, also it was a hammer, like a Maul sized one, by the way we need to get other people interested in this again.)
When the battle finished, the Siege had immeadiatley stopped, why waste a beautiful city? The Political leaders under their king were sent in chains to a Challin Prison.
Voilin had sat down beside Garfar, and Valadek. "The Pursuer got away, didn't he?" Voilin asked "Sadly yes, but no worries my brother at heart." Garfar put his hand on Voilin's shoulder, I promise you he will not live to see the day one more Irodaunask dies at his hands." Garfar tried to comfort him. But things weren't looking too good for the Phantom race. Only around 700 from the original 2,500 of their finest warriors still lived. The Casualties of the Enemy were far worse at the end of the day but the fact was clear, The Irodaunask did not have the manpower for a full front against the bastard.
Dalco approached them with his hammer over his shoulder. "You have done the most honorable act today, going in full force like that before we came. Because of you many thousands of my men will go home to their families tonight." "We didn't have a choice," Valadek told him, "The Vanguard may be bastards, but testudo formation is the hardest formation to break, in the past, entire armies had fallen to the attack and we are the only ones who could attack them from above." "Even so," Dalco pointed to the capital and beyond. "All of the Vanguard lands I declare yours, all of the wealth, the livestock, the resources will be yours to flourish from, starting today you are not compressed to a tribe but you will become your own government with the Vanguard civilians under your control." "Dalco, we cannot accept." Voilin told him, "If you yourself had not joined us we would've lost if your mages had not scared off the pursuer." "But-" "Dalco we could do no such thing," Garfar told him. "...Okay, then let this day be the day that the Irodaunask and the Challin Empire conjoin as one, You will be the second Emperor of our kingdom and every one of your kind will receive the respect of a noble." "I could agree to that." Valadek said, the Vanguard had been crushed, all because of a rescue by Voilin of a girl named Nikky. "That reminds me," Voilin immediately got to his feet, "I have a personal quest to make," Voilin dashed off to track that girl down.

Nikky smiled as she sipped on her drink in the bar. It was a quiet bar, but humble, it wasn't too crowded and was at the edge of the country. Away from the war. She liked it like that, after all, she was seemingly the scapegoat for the reason of the war.
She swished the rest of her drink in the glass before downing the rest. She then stood up and straightened the jacket she had received a while back, patting her dagger that she had stolen from the phantoms, she decided it was time to move on from this lonely bar.

(I'm just gonna say they're in the Vinity Kingdom)
As Nikky opened the door Voilin stood there with the emotionless veil the Irodaunask always had.
"You know Phantom Forgery is a precious thing, and my personal skinning blade has been mine for the last 75 years...I have to admit though, your found a good time to steal it while my Village was under siege, for that you can keep it."
That dagger of course was not the reason he was here, the oddest thing was that in fact Voilin felt for this human girl, he would never tell her or even hint it. It was completely unnatural.

(Because this Kingdom and their king needs a ending where they don't just roll over)
Their kingdom was a proud one. It was on the very edge of the world, beyond it lay the barbarians, uncivilized tribes that would plunder and pillage all of the four kingdoms. So they built up these great forts, they were the ones who pushed the barbarians back past the mountains and into the grasp of winter. At the end of it some barbarian tribes had even come to live in these lands, under some conditions of course. One of the clans that came were the Irondaunask and they lived well with the natives... for a time. Then the Eye of Terror came and the Irondaunask went to fight along with the Challin, in a war that gave both a great reputation and a great ego. Whilst this kingdom continued with the task of stopping the Barbarian horde. They returned and the phantoms acted as if they deserved more out of us without having to work for it, as if they were above the laws of this land. so everything they asked for, they got as their powers and friendship with the Challin would stop any intervention by the kings of this land there was nothing that could be done about it.
But now this kingdom was no more, this very world on the brink of despair.
Now their soldiers patrolled every street of every town, calling this land theirs. Our people running in the shadows. Away from the cities. All running to a secluded valley, where the Lords who were no longer Lords, the Knights who were no longer Knights gathered where their dead King was put to rest. There were no phantoms here to ruin this ceremony. This was the one King who stood up for the people of his kingdom. He had his peoples respect and loyalty.
Toward the end of the ceremony one man stood up above the others, he had similar features as fallen King, yet younger. He was the Prince Harold Hadrada ,not the Kings descendant but his chosen heir. hidden from the Challin when they gained victory and took his lands and rivers and hills as their own.
"There is nothing for us here." he said to the great crowd that assembled for the funeral, "It is time that we left, to the land of those we kept out for so long. There, perhaps we will find peace. There we will rebuild, and when we are strong, when we are strong. We will return and retake what is ours." and in one night half of the population of a nation vanished.
(We could get someone to be the kings of the other Kingdoms as I'm running out of character ideas.)

Nikky smirked as she kept her hand on the dagger, "Cool, it's been quite a help lately. Is that all you've come to visit me for? Or would you like to sit down and talk over a drink?" She motioned towards the previous table she was at as she asked in a sarcastic but friendly politeness.
