I'm pretty sure apart from all the headlines that anyone could be read from anywhere in the world that there are interesting news snippets from your own country or area. So i thought why not share it.
In my area, a gang of loan sharks have kidnapped and chained their debtors to a toilet by their necks and only gave them a loaf of bread a week. They were rescued after 3 weeks of this after police received a tip-off on the location. Because of this, my country has more or less started to start catching these aggressive loan sharks.

KANGAR: While the birth certificate of 10-month-old Muhammad Nabil Mustaqim Rodzake states that he is male, he lacks a Male parts.
When he was born without the male organ last Aug 10 at the Tuanku Fauziah Hospital, he was subjected to a DNA test which confirmed he had more male characteristics.
Nabil Mustaqim was also born without a right thumb, right ear and proper eyelids.
His mother, Zatul Bazamah Abd Rahman, is now seeking help from medical specialists to fix the problem.
Zatul Bazamah, 26, said:
“We are sad to think that he will grow up without the male organ, and the emotional stress that awaits him.”
The baby – the second child in the family – is now receiving treatment at the Tuanku Fauziah Hospital and Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Star.
“We have been told that our son needs to wait a little longer for suitable treatment for his genitals while his other physical defects could be fixed with plastic surgery when he is four years old,” said Zatul Bazamah at the family home in Kampung Batu Lima near here.
The baby’s father, Rodzake Namis, 34, hoped the treatment could be carried out as soon as possible. — Bernama

I got something for the news header,
Australian Political Scandal
Turnbull caught in OzCar spotlight
The Treasury official at the centre of the OzCar affair, Godwin Grech, has supplied unofficial information to the Coalition, dating back to its days in government, the ABC has learned.
The revelation lifts already intense pressure on Opposition Leader Malcolm Turnbull to explain how much he knew, and when, about the email forgery that has backfired so spectacularly.
Several Liberals have told the ABC they believe Mr Grech has been supplying information to Mr Turnbull, and one says he knows it to be the case. However, the nature of that information is not known.
Mr Grech's name is ricocheting around Canberra after revelations the senior Treasury official is under investigation over a forged email that sought to implicate the Prime Minister in pushing the cause of a car dealer mate, John Grant.
The Australian Federal Police yesterday raided Mr Grech's home, uncovered the email and declared it a fake. They suspect Mr Grech was involved in creating it.
The Government is now pursuing Mr Turnbull over any contact he may have had with Mr Grech.
"Any contact with Grech in the last two months .. goes to the core of the smear campaign," Treasurer Wayne Swan said.
The ABC understands that Mr Grech will also be questioned about other leaks from Treasury.
The AFP has been "quietly watching Treasury for a while" and senior Government ministers are convinced there is at least one mole in the department.
They are joining the dots on a drip feed of minor information and some major embarrassments, including an email exchange between the Reserve Bank Governor and Head of Treasury on the bank deposit guarantee and damaging departmental advice on Fuel Watch.
The ABC has been told Mr Grech routinely provided the former Howard government with what has been described as "off-line" information about the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet.
In the words of one Liberal, "he has been sympathetic to us for some time".
But Mr Turnbull has refused to say whether Mr Grech has been supplying him with information.
When quizzed by journalists on the issue this afternoon, Mr Turnbull replied: "It would be improper of me to say."
And the ABC tried to put some of the claims to Mr Grech earlier today but he could not be contacted.
