Point taken. So they got jealous of Advanceshipping's popularity, sounds like they were getting a little desperate. Oh well, at least they learned their lesson pretty quick.

As long as the contestshippers and pokeshippers continue their underhanded work of this nature, and as long as the Advanceshippers stay clear of this underhandedness, then we will have a much better reputation than them.

The reason Contestshipping is so big Because it's the most valid reason for Poke/Pearl/and what not to say May likes someone else. If they are to have a relationship, it will be a crash and burn. The only relationships that work today without a divorce are where the Man treats the lady with respect. And the lady lets the man be the head of the relationship. And those roses are a sorry excuse for ones behavior i'll say

I don't think the man has to necessarily be the head of the relationship (I think that depends on personalities as well). So long as there is a mutual respect and deep love for one another, you have yourself a successful unity.

A spam war? Man, they're idiots, because they could get their site shut down because of the spamming. I mean, it could've been tracked easily.

^ Since the contestshipper's website could be shut down for spamming, were they shut down?
Or did they avoid retribution?

Actually this was on Geocities back when they still had forums. Also yeah they started the spam war and their site was shut down. My site however perservered do to the fact that we only acted in self defense.

Okay, I'm late into this discussion, but nevertheless: I do think this ship poses a 'threat' to 'ours'. There are various moments troughout the seasons where one can say it's clear to be a hint for Contestshipping. What i find most annoying is that before the entrance of Drew, there were lots of Advanceshippping hints, but since the entrance of Drew, they became less and less. This may be my interpretation, but i wondered how you guys thought about this.

In the recent episodes, Advanceshipping just had a huge boost due to a new hint.

In the recent episodes, Advanceshipping just had a huge boost due to a new hint. I don't know if it has to be considered a hint in the way that it could tell us anything about love between Ash and May... The ribbon was what you were talking about right? You know, I've read various threads now about Contest vs Advanceshipping. And I've seen alot of good arguments on both sides... But i want to come up with something more detailed... because sometimes people arent even sure what meaning a particular line had, reason of blushing etc... So i'll be busy the next couple of days, watching a lot of both Contest and Advance shipping episodes.

Advanceshipping FTW!=P
Anyways...>.> No I don't find it as a threat. Their saga is over, but now we'll catch up with newer hints to (hopefully) come.=)
