" Get The Show On The Road " is the very first episode of the Advance series. It was when May first met Ash.
Ever since then, she dropped a few clues and hints here and there.

I know I'm well aware of this. I'm pointing out that a few times during Advancegeneration she tried to flirt with him

I'm very sure there are a few, no several, more hints to disprove.
However, somebody from this forum will have to sneak into a contestshipping forum, and see what they believe are hints/clues. (Sneak in as a guest, of course)
Not me, though.

I think that most Contestshippers are convinced that the episode "Who, What, When, Where, Wynaut?" is some sort of evidence for their ship, because of that fact that May tried to save Drew after they fell into the raging river together. Of course, though, what else was she supposed to do--just let him drown? Oh, and then because Drew used Petal Dance to cut her down from the tree, but again, what else was he supposed to do--just let her hang there?

I am an Advanceshipper until the day I die, an even then, i'm not sure if I will "change religion". A few days ago I logged in to Bulbapedia, and went wo the Advanceshipping Page. Then I redirected myself, to CS page to be aware of their hints (no logout used). I do this, then I use my vast knowledge on the show to refute their hints
This happened a few days ago, but since then, my screen went almost haywire, with vertical and horizontal black lines on it everytime I start Windows

Okay, I visited the Site, and skimmed over their Contestshipping hints. Their first ‘’major’’ hint they’ve convinced themselves of is the fact that he gives her roses. They also state that Drew seemed jealous of Harley’s interactions with May at the Grand Festival. They also bring up the fact that her Beautifly can technically breed with Masquerain. As I mentioned before myself, they mention the “Who, What, When, Where, Wynaut?” episode, but it’s the last ‘’hint’’ that really made me laugh. And I quote: “Many people make fun and put down the people they like, to hide their real feelings. Like Drew does? You always hurt the ones you love, right?”
-.-
They also have many other ‘’hints’’, which are more like small paragraphs, so I didn’t read them all, but some that caught my attention (and again, made me laugh) were the ones that said that May and Drew fit the good girl/bad boy pattern, which is apparently a hint, the one that said Drew disliked the idea of May being around other boys, and finally, the one which said that May actually encourages Drew’s advances
Yeah, right.

At the Bulbapedia site their "hints" are all based on the roses and a couple of episodes. When I went there at one time (it might have been for this thread) I was amazed at how little actual hints they have. Its funny how they deal with the ideas behind everything and not the actual facts. A couple good examples are the Beautifly/Masquerain pairing and the good girl/bad boy pattern, both mentioned by Cascade. These are nothing but assumptions, there is little hard evidence in them.
Vineshipping is a closer reason for a shipping then the bug pair because of multiple reasons, the first and foremost being that they have actually met and enjoy each other's company. While I will admit there are a few in there that are better than nothing and harder to disprove, most of their hints are in those dang roses. Take those out of the equation and you don't have much of a shipping left.
