Depending how May's return goes, Contestshipping might die on its own.

I think that most Contestshippers are convinced that the episode "Who, What, When, Where, Wynaut?" is some sort of evidence for their ship, because of that fact that May tried to save Drew after they fell into the raging river together. Of course, though, what else was she supposed to do--just let him drown? Oh, and then because Drew used Petal Dance to cut her down from the tree, but again, what else was he supposed to do--just let her hang there? Well, these "rescue" clues go both ways. We need to find out how is it different when May rescues Drew from when Ash rescues May. Otherwise, the contestshippers will use the same argument you used to try to disprove our "rescue" clues.

We need to find out how is it different when May rescues Drew from when Ash rescues May. Otherwise, the contestshippers will use the same argument you used to try to disprove our "rescue" clues. Well, I've seen the episode, and the way it happened was they were both standing on the edge of a cliff, overlooking a river, and it crumbled away out of the blue. May managed to grab onto a branch on the way down, and Drew happened to grab onto her other free hand, and then they both fell. I mean, its not like when Ash dove to move May out of the way of the oncoming Donphan that time, or when he tied himself to Torkoal and saved her from that trench.

Good point, so May did it out of reflex to save a person. She would have done the same thing even if it was a girl.

okay, people, here is my report so far: On the first 3 pages of the CS thread on SPPF, there are many posts linking CS to PS. On pages 4 and 5, posts wondering if Ash is jealous about Drew "hitting on" May. On page 6, I found this: "When they first meet, she can't stand his attitude. This changes, I think it may have been sometime around the first rose, and while it's hard to say how she does feel about him, I think it's safe to say that she no longer dislikes him." Page 8, Drew hates Ash and is better than him Page 9, fanart and discussion about Drew's dub name. Page 10, posts comparing Drew and May to Ash and Misty Page 11, the whole Masquerain - Beautifly thing Page 12, discussion Ash-May-Drew
Please review and submit report opinions

XD They have issues. But so okay, the comparing Drew and May to Ash and Misty only backs up the theory that most Contestshippers are just Pokeshippers who want someone to keep May away from Ash. And about the dub name thing, I remember reading on another forum that they thought the fact that May's name is May, as in around Springtime, and the fact that Drew gives her flowers was a really big hint. At least, they thought that until someone pointed out that her Japanese name means ''far away''.

Well, since Sp1der did post his findings...I'll post some of mine. BMGf
On pages 2-3... msot of the members discussed May's breast size and how she really isn't a normal '10 year old girl'.
The first couple pages on BMGf are consisting posts about how most of the members are not yet sure of themselves if they like contestshipping yet or not.
Yes, they love those roses. 'Oh, was it three roses now?' 'How many roses has he given her?' or 'I wonder when the next rose will be given!'. Of course, most of these posts were in 2004.
There is a true CSshipper on there hands there. I won't reveal the user name, but she has stacked up the hints in order of appearence. I can see most of those hints as 'official' on the CS fanpages.
Page 6. The Jealousy Page. These CSshippers are discussing that May is jealous of the fangirls and therefore a possible hint. They are also speculating that Drew hates Harley because he can get 'close' to May and Drew can't.
I'll have more later. =]

These hints must be a joke. We need to find more competent contestshippers if we want to effectively counter them.

These hints must be a joke. We need to find more competent contestshippers if we want to effectively counter them. Well, as ridiculous as thier ''hints'' may seem to us, keep in mind that since a majority of them are still clinging on to Pokeshipping as the one and only possibility for Ash, they're used to grasping at straws when it comes to find valid points to support their ships.

I find the Beautifly/Masquerain argument to be ridiculous. If people are going to dismiss Ash and May's Bulbasaurs being together and linking that to Advanceshipping, why would the Masquerain/Beautifly pairing be any more feasible? What a joke.

Tougher contestshipping "clues" should be found to counter the "hardpoints" of contestshipping.
Try checking various shipping debates. Contestshippers usually bring up their best points there; especially in the debates where cybercubed (scott85) participated.
Knowing what contestshippers are thinking and how they think contestshipping is valid are equally important to finding their best points, so these visits to contestshipping sites that you guys and gals are conducting are beneficial.

Or, I could just ask Scott85 what are ContestShipping's strong points. Remember, I am in BMGF.
