James, man, honestly. Where's Ageha's Yanmega? tut tut. Anyway, for the Elite 4, I'm guessing, Electric, Grass, Steel and Flying. I wonder what the champs team'll look like... LOL sorry! I didn't put it in at first because she already has two Flying/Bug types, three might have been pushing it. But just for you mate, Ageha now has a Yanmega (it has l33t Special Atk, so why not eh?) Okay so here's the fifth of my eight Gym Leaders. His name might seem quite bland to you, but really it makes sense. His name is Jack, he's an Ice Type Gym Leader, I got the name from Jack Frost, so it suits I guess. Name: Jack Hometown: Coldwind City Region: Shikoku Class: Gym Leader Gym: Coldwind Gym Element: Ice Type Badge: Frost Badge Known Pokemon: For several years Jack was a juvenile delinquent who roamed the streets of Coldwind City as the leader of one of the most notorious Bike Gangs in the Shikoku Region, the Frostbites. He was cold, ruthless and had a negative attitude towards other people and Pokemon. He believed that the world was a cold place and that it was survival of the fittest. A chance encounter with a powerful female trainer named Candice changed his outlook on life, people and Pokemon. He realised that the world truly is a cold place, but it is the warmth of the hearts of human and Pokemon alike that make people strong enough to brave anything bad that comes their way in life. Jack trained under Candice to become an Ice Pokemon trainer, he then disbanded his gang and formed a Pokemon Gym. He now has a goal in life and that is to help strengthen the bonds between Pokemon and humans in the heat of battle. Jack's attitude has changed since he was young and he is now quite warm and friendly. Although in battle he has a rather cold, poker-face and plays everything cool. He never appears to lose his temper no matter how much pressure he is under. Quotes Before Battle: " Hey. What do we have here? You wish to challenge the Gym Leader? That's cool because I'm the Leader! The name's Jack and I never lose my cool. Wanna know why? Because whether its freezing my opponents solid or knocking them out cold, my cool Ice Pokemon will leave all challengers shaking in their boots! Don't freeze up on me now!"After sending out last Pokemon: " Okay, this isn't cool."During Battle: " It looks like we're skating on thin ice..."When Defeated: " I can't believe I lost. That battle was so cool, it gave me chills!"After being Defeated: " Oh man! The warmth in your heart and your fiery passion for battle are what truly helped you win here today! You're definitely one cool trainer and as Gym Leader, I award you this Frost Badge for your efforts!"

Yes he is whoops. No, I'm not keen on making my own pokemon (I've done it before but I wouldn't include them in a story, I'm surprisingly strict when it comes to pokemon and sticking to canon). People are a different story. Next Gym Leader (If anyone still cares! ) This is Leech, the Poison Type Gym Leader. He originally had longer hair. Name: Leech Hometown: Greymarsh City Region: Shikoku Class: Gym Leader Gym: Greymarsh Gym Element: Poison Type Badge: Venom Badge Known Pokemon: Leech is one of the more unusual Gym Leaders in the Shikoku Region. He is not very sociable and prefers to be alone. He is mainly like this due to the way he was picked on as a young child. As a kid he was pale, frail and sickly. He has lived in the City of Greymarsh his whole life and had always considered himself to be different. One day when he was young he fell into the marsh, the enormous swamplands that Greymarsh is famous for, and almost drowned. He was rescued by some Poison type Pokemon. A lot of people were afraid to go to the marsh because of the Poison Pokemon that lived there, however Leech soon discovered that they, like him were misunderstood and different from everyone else. He aims to prove to the world that Poison Pokemon can be gentle and kind partners to keep. Though Leech is a loner by nature, he does enjoy it when people talk to him and are interested in learning more about Poison Pokemon. He believes that Poison types are misunderstood to be very dangerous and unsafe to live around humans. Despite his creepy demeanour he is very kind and gentle. Quotes: Before Battle: " ...Who are you? A trainer? I see...I am Leech, the Greymarsh Gym Leader. Do you like Poison Pokemon? Not many people do. They treat them rather harshly because they can hurt people and make them sick. But to me, they are my best friends! I'm sorry, not everyone understands Poison Pokemon the way I do. But maybe you'll get a clearer understanding of them once we battle! I hope you brought plenty of antitode."After sending out last Pokemon: " ...Just like being posioned, the end draws near."During Battle: " Suddenly I don't feel so well..."When Defeated: " So this is how it ends? I have no regrets, that battle really pushed me to my limits."After being Defeated: " ...Such a good match. Such a good trainer you are, you understand now that all Pokemon deserve love. Poison Pokemon have good hearts, beneath their deadly exteriors beat the hearts of loyal, true friends. Never forget that. Congratulations, consider this Venom Badge my gift to you."

Another good job James. I can't believe I thought he was Dragon-type!
I seriously want his trousers!
Looking forward to the next Gym Leader.
P.S. I was only joking about the Pokemon. I don't think many people can be bothered with designing new ones (Unless they get payed for it). Like you said, People are a different story.

Great job with the Gym Leaders James. Leech's appearance fits his personality nicely.
I still like it that you are making the quotes for them as well, you are definitly putting a great deal of thought into these guys.

^Thanks you guys. Only two more Gym Leaders to go. I've finished off Dusty. Now I only have Arthur left to color in. Name: Dusty Hometown: Sandrock City Region: Shikoku Class: Gym Leader Gym: Sandrock Gym Element: Ground Type Badge: Tremor Badge Known Pokemon: Dusty is a former Pokemon Ranger, having worked around the world protecting Pokemon from would-be poachers and thieves. When his family's gym was at risk of being closed down, Dusty left his busy lifestyle and returned to Sandrock City to save it from closure. Dusty took over as the Sandrock Gym Leader and decided to help the Gym along by having it double as a Pokemon reserve. Many Ground type Pokemon inhabit the wide open plains and deserts that surround Sandrock City and so he mainly protects them, but also a larger range of different Pokemon as well. Dusty can be quite gruff and grumpy, but he has strong heroic qualities in his personality including a strong sense of justice and a compassionate heart. He tries to be serious and stern most of the time, but he has a weakness for girls in skirts. Quotes Before Battle: " You lost or somethin, partner? What's that? You want a Gym Battle? I'm the Gym Leader around these parts. The name's Dusty and I train the Ground Type. Ground Types have amazing attack power and you should see the power they weild in Sandstorms! Are you ready? Once you're in my sand trap, there will be no escape!"After sending out last Pokemon: " Showdown time, partner!"During Battle: " It seems I've underestimated you."When Defeated: " Looks like you're a legitimate trainer after all! That was one heck of a showdown!"After being Defeated: " Great job there partner. You sure showed me a thing or two. Your Pokemon were able to brave the sandstorms and come up with the big win! I reckon you deserve this, here's the Tremor Badge as testament of your skill. "

I really like the backstory that you gave Dusty, especially the last little detail Again it shows how much detail you are putting into these guys. And its obvious that you used the stereotypical cowboy for him.

^ Cowboys are cool, there's always something Earthy about them so I thought it would be cool to have a cowboy Gym leader. And here it is, the final Gym leader. This one was a real pain to color, so I hope everyone likes his color scheme. Presenting Arthur the Dragon Gym leader. Name: Arthur Hometown: Shoryu Castle Region: Shikoku Class: Gym Leader Gym: Shoryu Castle Gym Element: Dragon Type Badge: Legend Badge Known Pokemon: Arthur is the Leader of the people who live in Shoryu Castle, a castle so large it has become a city and home to many people. It is also famous for the Dragon Lair, a hidden sanctuary for Dragon Pokemon, of which Arthur is the guardian of. In his youth Arthur had a rivalry with Lance the Dragon Master. He also was in love with Lance's cousin Clair in his youth. He is the eldest of the Gym Leaders and is both a former member of the Shikoku Elite Four and a former Shikoku League Champion. Having retired from both positions, Arthur finds himself unable to live life quietly, and as such he has taken it upon himself to train prospective trainers in the Shoryu Castle Gym. He is very proud and fierce and can be stubborn at times, but once a person earns his trust, he treats them with a firm mutual respect. His children are rumored to be powerful trainers as well. Quotes Before Battle: "Sigh... Yet another challenger. I suppose you feel that you deserve a match against me? Both you and your Pokemon lack presence... Hmm... I don't believe you're worth my time. However your eyes reveal an unwavering sense of determination in them. Very well, I, Arthur the Gym Leader of Shoryu Castle, accept your challenge! Prepare yourself!" After sending out last Pokemon: " How long has it been since I have been backed into a corner like this?"During Battle: " Most impressive...Most impressive indeed!"When Defeated: " Ha ha...AHahahaha! I have never felt so alive! I may have lost, but I feel so alive!"After being Defeated: " I apologize for my harsh words to you earlier. You are truly a remarkable trainer! You have earned my respect, but that is not all you have earned here today. You have earned the Legend Badge as proof of your victory over me and my Dragon Pokemon."

Wow, more excellent work there James. Are these guys posted in order of challenge? If so, it makes sense for Arthur to be last, with 2.5 Pseudo-Legendaries. I am seriously impressed with the thought you've put into these guys, especially the backstories.
Now I wanna battle them!!!

Niiiiiiiice. At least you've done 'proper' gym leader teams. If they were in a game, then Bianca would have Aipom, Buneary and Girafarig. Dusty would have Onix, Phanpy, Hippopotas, etc.

What i don't get is if he has a Dragonite, and Salamence (which both evolve after lvl 48) why then does he have a Gabite?

Good point LV, I was tempted to say something, but thought it would be a bit nitpicky. but since you've brought it up... If Arthurs Pokemon are around the Level 50 mark, then he should have: Garchomp (evolves lv. 48), Shelgon / Salamence (evolves lv. 50), and Dragonair (evolves to Dragonite lv. 55).
But it's your leader, and your squad, and your choice.
Nice squad for the champ btw, is he why Arthur has a Gabite? that makes sense, as then both the last leader and the champ would have a Garchomp. though the Garchomp and the Lucario are a bit similar to Cynthia, and they both have a ghost (Spiritomb / Dusknoir)
Looking forward to the Elite 4!

Dusty would have Onix, Phanpy, Hippopotas, etc. Not necessarily Dave. If they used it as a go to region like Kanto was in Generation II then it wold all work out fine. Great job James. Can't wait to see the elite four.

Yeah I know. but in a game sense, the first gym leaders pokemon are around lv. 10 - 15 and basic form. I just wish that the Vs. seeker worked in gyms, or you could rechallenge them in DP like in Emerald, so that their squads would get stronger. Roark should have a Golem and Rampardos, Gardenia should have a Cherrim and Torterra, etc. etc. etc.
Falkner was a complete joke: a so-called flying-type 'master' who had a lv. 7 Pidgey and lv. 9 Pidgeotto. Honestly!
Whoa, sorry bout that, just had about 5 cream eggs.
