Ever thought about writing a book?
I have for quite a long time since I was nine.

Ya, same here. Just can't think of a complicating plot.

I've considered it but the problem is people want authors to be career writers and I perfer to keep it as a hobby so I'll stick to writing fanfics.

Thought of? I've been writing and re-writing a novel since grade 6! I finally finished it a year ago, but I have to rewrite AGAIN and think about the mythology of the land a bit more before I even attempt to publish it.

I want to do other things first before I even start to think about things like that. I like the idea of writing my own story. God knows, I've had tons of ideas, maybe in the future.

I have a medieval fantasy I've been working on since 5th grade. I was inspired by Ocarina of time mostly and I developed a whole world (have the drawn maps of it stuck to the walls of my room) a whole array of a card game i made for it (i have made over 150 cards!) with a new strategy thats actually like if the cards were on a battlefield.
I have a whole stash of loose documents for it, i even made a power point explaining the different style of magic in that world (which is known in that world as the elemental cast) Many of the made-up pokemon in my fanfics are ideas for the creatures in the book.
I intend on first writing the novel, then see if i can get it made into a video game (since my original plan was gonna be more like a game than anything) and i'll work from there
oh and the book will be called "The Trials of Valor"

I did, in Third Grade, I began to write a story. But the plot changed so much, and I eventually reallized it was a very bad rip off of every show and game I had ever come in contact with and scrapped it. I did have an idea of writing a book for children about the disease ITP, as I have it, and want others to know about it. The same of autism, except that its my brother thqt has that.

Yeah, I've been writing a book for quite a while, now, and I plan on publishing it. I'm almost finished in writing the main story. Then I need to go through and edit it *cringes in fear at chapter one*.

You see, this is a good time to wonder why we can't publish our fanfiction. I mean, if we could, some of us, especially PMADV, would be making a decent amount of money, even though Nintendo will probably want 75% of our profit.

Well basically, it's about a guy named James, and the land he lives in is under threat from a race of dark creatures called Nocturnas. The Nocturnas are tying to find a powerful artifact called The Unknown Prazes (which is the name of the book), so they can eradicate Light, and reign. So James, (and as the story progress, several other characters) has to collect seven rock-crystal keys before the Nocturnas, for they are the only way to reach The Unknown Prazes. However things go wrong (as they often do in life), and in an act of sacrifice, James gets turned into a hybrid of Human/Dark Creature, which affects his actions in a more *ahem* 'negative' way. Fun!

Sounds interesting, when you do get it published, leave in your "About the Author" That your cybername is MrOmew so you can prove to us that it really is you.
I plan on doing the same, although it'll be pretty obvious it's me when the main character of the novel is Vurtax.
Mine starts out in a sort of orphanage, these kids are living on this island with a guardian who is a six foot gold and blue dragon (have to change his name since it sounds too much like Galbatorix [Gallax]) Vurtax is outcasted from the society of the orphans that live there because he never takes the time to talk with them. He spends hours upon hours in his cornfield tending them and plucking them to sell to a merchant that comes from the empire of the human race.
That night is when a mysterious dark forced unamed and unknown attacks the island head on, killing the guardian and every orphan except Vurtax (as his house is inside of a hill so the dark fiend didn't spot him) Vurtax runs to Gallax's headquarters trying to figure out what was going on to only find a letter, some chain mail, an outfit, and a stilletto.

technically I like to make a book and tv show the elemental warrior. It is a boy named Blake who sets off his journey trying to find elements on his world and in dimensions (different shows or books or comics)
