Thursday has already passed here. I think the person who uploads the Japanese episodes is American, since they appear on Fridays here in Australia. More than likely Matt will beat me to the punch with any summaries, it's just the time difference.

Well the first episode was just posted but I don't have the time right now to watch it. If I did watch it I would be late for Calculus, and even though I'm doing better than I did in High School for that class I still would rather not miss it. I have a chunk of time after it though so I'll try and watch it then.
What does a dentist-wanna be need with calculus anyways? I'll never understand that. Stupid application requirements.
Edit: Well Dave here is your personal request at the recap of today's episodes, although right now only the first one is out for some reason.
You were essentially correct about it being similar to Bye-Bye Butterfree. It was Dustox mating season and the Pokemon center that the group was staying at was situated next to a lake where Dustox gather for mating season at the full moon. This lake was created by an old landslide and melting snow from the nearby mountains.
Team Rocket on the other hand was gathering food to eat and Dutox flew off to the aforementioned lake with Jessie following. There they meet a Shiny Dustox and its trainer (I wasn't able to catch his name, was focusing on trying to decipher everything else, sorry). The new trainer looked similar to and reminded Jessie of an old crush when she was young. Back then she was trying to enter into singing contests and there was a young boy that had dreams of becoming a coordinator. Jessie lost the audition and soon after the boy left to start his journey.
After a freak lightning hit the water started to drain from the lake. It was also at this point that Dustox pushed Jessie away from the resulting debris. Team Rocket was the first on the scene to try and stop the lake from draining, joined later by the usual group and the new character. They then started using all of their pokemon to clog up the rushing water (think about the battle with Blaine). It was entertaining considering that the smallest Pokemon (Happiny) was carrying boulders easily twice if not five times what all the others were doing. After the clog was completed they started to refill the lake so the Dustox will still come. Ash and Dawn used Chimchar, Piplup, and Buizel to try and melt the snow while the new character and Jessie use their Dustox to move water from another nearby lake into the first one using Psychic (I think, either that or confusion) and Whirlwind.
This is where one of the biggest differences between this and Butterfree's release differs. Dustox was reluctact to leave Jessie, to the point where she was actually deciding to stay with Jessie. Remembering back onto her own old crush and not wanting to put Dustox in the same position Jessie took out Dustox's Pokeball and smashed it under her foot.
Interesting facts about the episode: Pokeballs are more fragile than many may have thought
Brock could be starting to grow an immunity to Crogunk (after a shot of Poison Jab after seeing Joy he recovered very fast and needed another Jab less than a minute later)
Jessie's Dustox is most likely female.
And that would be it. Not bad for typing half of it with only one hand while eating lunch. If I missed anything important James can cover for me. Hopefully the second episode of the special should be up soon.

Cool, cheers for that, much obliged. So no more Dustox then? at least she still has Wobbuffet ;D
I wish they'd stop with these two-episode 'specials'. Yes, it's good to get two eps at once, but then we have to wait two weeks for the next one.
Cheers again.

Say, james, since you'll be in Japan, I'm wondering if you could be the site's representative, and try to see someone interested.

I'm awaiting a letter of confirmation, but I guess I can do that. I won't be there until mid summer though. Anyways here's a brief summary of what happened in the second of the One Hour Special. Ash's Pikachu meets a trainer named Sho who owns what he claims to be the 'Strongest Pichu' and the 'Strongest Raichu'. However he hasn't got the 'Strongest Pikachu' to complete his collection. He offers Ash Mareep, Magnemite and Magneton in exchange for Pikachu, but Ash refuses each time. This leads to a heated conversation and then a battle between Ash's Pikachu and Sho's Raichu. Pikachu tries valiantly using all the moves in its repertoire, however Pikachu is struck with a powerful Hyper Beam attack at point blank range from Sho's Raichu, who appears to outclass Pikachu in every way, even going so far as knowing the move Volt Tackle as well. After watching the battle, Paul appears from the shadows and tells Ash he has two choices, he can either trade Pikachu or evolve it. Pikachu is hospitalized and Ash brings out the Thunder Stone that he recieved from the Vermillion City Joy, way back when he faced Surge for the Thunder Badge. Pikachu wants to get revenge on Raichu for its crushing defeat, but Ash tells it that it needs to rest. Later that night, Ash and co. go to visit Pikachu in its room only to find Pikachu gone, and the Thunder Stone along with it. Ash, Dawn, Piplup and Brock go searching for Pikachu, only to find it training itself. It turns out that Team Rocket are now in possession of the Thunder Stone, Meowth wanting to support Pikachu's choice not to evolve, since Meowth cannot evolve himself. Ash and Pikachu run into Sho and Raichu again and battle once more. Pikachu, like in the battle against Surge uses speed and agility over power and manages to defeat Raichu. Team Rocket decide to keep the Thunder Stone for themselves. Paul witnessed Ash's Pikachu's power once more and then walked off without saying a word. Ash and co say goodbye to Sho and continue on their journey. Key points: - Pikachu refuses to evolve for the second time. - Team Rocket now posses a Thunder Stone. No Dustox and now a Thunder Stone? What could this mean? No Pokemon next week, so we have to wait two weeks for the Wallace Episode and then the one we've all been waiting for will follow it the week after that.

Wow, cheers for that, again, much obliged.
Is it me, or does Paul have an obsession with Pikachu?
Team Rocket can't do a lot with a Thunder Stone, as it only evolves two Pokemon, Pikachu and Eevee.
And Piplup's been having a lot of screen-time recently...
Thanks again James, I really appreciate it.

No worries mate. Though my summary is nowhere near succinct as Matt's. Team Rocket's Jolteon... has a nice ring to it.

This just sucks, the final part of the episode gets uploaded right before I have to go to class and the class that I had to go to was boring as hell. My hand really hurts right now. But that episode should help ease everything. Just have to make sure that I don't look at the summary.
Edit: Actually James your summary cleared things up that I missed in the episode. I just wonder why the heck Team Rocket needs the Thunder Stone. Unless they want to sell it, and why didn't Ash try to get it back? Oh well.

Something like a Thunder Stone could come in handy for Team Rocket, somehow. Who knows? What if it is used on May's Eevee? I doubt it, but anything is possible. Also, Ash probably doesn't want it back because Pikachu made its choice not to evolve.
Off topic: John, I received my letter of acceptance, I just need to pass the medical exam and I'll be off to Japan to live.

Thanks, LuciferIX. The new episodes seem to get deeper and deeper, or it might just be that the Japanese episodes are naturally like that.
What class was it?

No problem Praetor. And I really can't say if they are getting deeper or not, its hard to say.
Introduction to International Relations, it sounds like it would be an interesting course but all it is is the professor making us rush in taking notes for over an hour. Especially because we have a test next week and he wanted to get as many notes in as possible. At least there are moments when it is actually interesting, too bad today wasn't one of them. And it also gets a graduation requirement credit out of the way, so it'll be worth it in the end.

Well, as opposed to the main characters just making their way to gyms and contests, and defeating them to get to the League or Festival, the Diamond and Pearl series seem to be putting even more emphasis into sub-plots, and creating more depthness as well.
I never heard of the class, so can you give us a sample of the notes?

When you put it that way, I guess it is. But sometimes it just makes it feel like filler episodes if nothing real major happens. Today's two episodes I wouldn't put in the filler category though.
Considering that you aren't in college it doesn't surprise me that you haven't heard of it. I doubt that they would have anything like it in anything earlier.
I guess if you're asking, I can type a few up.
These aren't the ones that I took today but it gives a good example. I'll just give a part of it. The ones that I took today went into the the specifics of International Organizations.
Theories of International Relations:
Realist Theory:
a) argues that humans are making foreign policy are rational and choose to do what is in their best interest
b) world system is defined by anarchy or a struggle of all against all
Liberalism Theory:
a) political philosophy emphasizes human, civil rights, and duties of the representative government
b) rejected realist assumptions that states self interest and war had to be the most important ideals
Marxism Theory:
a) argues that class struggle and exploitation is the cause of conflict
Idealism Theory:
a) states behavior is shaped by morals and values
Feminism Theory:
a) reject the idea of universal truth and argues that gender and the way gender is defined colors different understandings in world politics
b) military power and state interests are masculine concepts
c) argues that men and women are different; men are supportive of war, women use non-combative methods
May have been a little much but not having class until 1 tomorrow is making me feel a little lax. Personally I think that the Feminism theory is a joke (sorry to anyone who disagrees with me) but if you boil it down to the basics all they say is that men and women think differently. Talk about the revelation of the year.

Talk about the revelation of the year. And you have to pay to be told this? As for Japan, if after 12 months they offer me an extension on my contract I could be there from 2-5 years if I choose to be.
