So other than ray guns, what else do the Daleks have? Endless armies, as they can build more and more Daliks. If they can't thyey turn other spiecies into Daleks. Some of the greatest Fleets in existance. The ability to melt bullets before contact (or anything else) Flight Time Travel(something just about every other race here can't do) Lack of all emotion apart from Hate. Ability to travel through the Void Dalekanium armour which takes a lot of energy to destroy The only way they lost was by some form of mass extinction, destroying them and the time Lords to the point where only a very small handfull exist now. A manipulator arm that can change wepons from flamethrower, cutting torches, or suckers that can crush peoples heads. The ability to use their suckers to drain all knowledge of another life-form, or crush a mans skull Theirs also the Cybermen that could be put in, as well as the Sycorax, Torchwood (before Captain Jack took over), and those things that the Master had, (tribula- thingies :S) and & The Replicators turn planets into more Replicators, and move on. and on, and on.

OK, where to start...
1) The People: Think of it like this; when the People apparently had a war with humans 10,000 years ago, they were at equal strength, minus the influence of magic. Now, at the present, their technology is amazingly ahead of us, so taking over worlds would be easy.
2) Yuuzhan Vong: The Republic still are having trouble with these guys, and the biotic technology is cool.
3) The Empire (Star Wars): This is too obvious, what with being able to construct two Death Stars in I believe 26 years.

Time to revive this debate. To settle this silly little quarrel between the factions of Star Wars and the Imperium, I found a large crossover fic--a balanced one too. The fic is very accurate, but, still, with a few mistakes--the Imperial Guard is made to look weak in this fic and while the Titans did get a few mentions, it did NOT get to see any action in the story, but for the sake of balance, it is acceptable. [glow=yellow,2,300] Oh and by the way, the jedi, the Yuuzhan Vong, and Luke Skywalker, and other major characters are present later in the story. Even if you do not understand the Warhammer 40,000 universe now, you can read it, and it will be explained by the fic.[/glow] Sample quote from the fic: The fic: www.fanfiction.net/s/3238754/1/Two_Galaxies_SagaTitans legion: www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRklimCZd4wImperial AT-AT <<< Titans The Imperium is at least 10,000 years old, and it has been at constant, non-stop war ever since its beginning; which means that it has been fighting aliens, heretics, mutants, and traitors for at least 10,000 years. The leader of the Imperium, the emporer, is over 40,000 years old. Not even Yoda's wisdom or power can compare to that. Not even the empire has that much experience. The Imperium does not need a ship the size of a moon to destroy a planet. Their capital ships are armed with planet destroying weapons already and it can be activated by a battle plan called the exterminatus.

They kind of remind me of Mechcommander mechs... ahh the good old days www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MQPWE_M_EMExcept the mechs were bigger by Mech commander 2, and had more wepons PPC's, Laers, Large lasers, LRM's Gauss RIfels, Swarm Lrm's SRM's. But I'm sticking with the Daleks, they have traversed all of time and space and have managed to exterminate every form of life in their path that is not of Dalek blood, even then killing any Dalek who would contridict their ideology. Traversing the void, somethingthat coud easily rip the universe apart. They do not limit themselves to one galaxy, or even one universe, or timeperiod. Something that the just about no other faction has the capability to do with confidence. The have commited genocide that has echoed trhroughout time and space, fighting at a level that 'lower' bieings' can not comprehend.

What advantages do the Combine have?
How big are the largest mech in Mechcommander?
The Daleks sound just like the Imperium -- they both destroy anything that are not similar to them or their beliefs.
Read the fic I showed to see how the Imperium viewed the Galactic Alliance and how the Alliance responds to that attitude.

The Combine have the advantage of having a massive military that can adapt for any kind of planet that they wish to invade. They span countless universes, and have some of the most advanced tech known.
Though they can't make Portals well ;D
And, seriously, WATCH some Doctor Who. Then you'll see how great the Daleks really are, and why every child who grew up in Britain in the 60's were afraid of them.

The Combine will be smashed by the Imperium. While they can't make portals, the Imperium can, and they will use "vortex weapons" to open up black holes to destroy the Combine. The fate of enemies of the Space Marines: www.youtube.com/watch?v=maYor7PXYpo&hl=en

Well for one, The Daleks are nothing but pure rage and hate. All other emotion is taken out, leaving a warrior that has been born and bred for genocide. The Imperium may have black hole wepons, but the Time Lords were the ones that created black holes, and even against that the Daleks held their own. But about the mechs,I don't knowexact sizes but from thescales given in your vid to ground troops, I'dsay that they are on equal footing size wise. For a medium mech, but maybe not for some of the larger ones. here's a pic of some of them ppc.warhawkenterprises.com/intshots/bloodaspandteam.jpg

You can't just 'smash' the Combine, unless you are able to travel between the many, many parallel universes they inhabit. They only have trouble making portals to travel within the universe they are in.
From Wikipedia: "The Combine is a vast empire spanning multiple parallel universes. The empire is inhabited by an unknown number of sapient species, and appears to be governed by a race of bizarre, artificially evolved Advisors, resembling giant grubs. The Combine expands its empire by invading worlds and enslaving the dominant species to be exploited as it sees fit. By manipulating these inhabitants through methods including bioengineering and implantation, the Combine creates a race of super-soldiers uniquely adapted for the environment of that particular world. This process results in a highly mobile and adaptive military force which is able to respond to any threat and crush any opposition. The reasons behind the Combine's imperialism remain unknown throughout the game."

I just wish that they had a better name than 'combine', not exactly a name that's gonna strike fear into the hearts of your enemies. change that and there's a great faction. Unfortunately Dalek was already taken

We don't know the exact size of our titans either, but we do know that the titan gun in the largest titan, the Imperator, is 35-40 meters TALL, not long. The Imperator: Not the prettiest titan, but it gets the job done. And yes, the Imperium can "smash" the Combine because they do travel through other dimensions. In the Warhammer 40k universe, the Imperium has been known to use another dimension called the Warp or the Immaterium to travel around their own galaxy. A single Imperium capital ship is capable of destroying a planet on its own, and since the Combine spans many planets, the Imperium would more likely destroy the planets than capture them. Had the Imperium ship continued firing into the planet, it would have "smashed" the planet into chunks, hence the phrase "smashing the Combine". ( 00:19 - 00:59) www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYXj9xOUFIM

Ah, but here's the thing: We don't know WHAT The Combine are capable of. All we've seen are they're forces on Earth, we haven't see any of their interstellar/interdimensional capabilities, other than the fact they can do it.
Who's to say they don't have huge capital ships, with giant lasers?
Oh btw.
THE DALEKS ARE COMING BACK!

^ I can't argue against that. The unknown information about the Combine can swing in either my favor or your favor. Time to deal with the Daleks. The Daleks is one of the more competent foes of the Imperium. But, on a one on one ground infantry battle, the Imperium would win with their lasguns and .75 caliber high explosive self propelled rounds called bolters. In the battle of the machines, the Imperium would still win; even without the help of titans. The Dalekian vehicles will not last long against one of the largest tank in the Imperium, the Baneblade tank. www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5n9BiV6Yg8&feature=relatedBesides, how cool is it that there is one well known Imperial Guard ( the main force of the Imperium ) regiment which is based off of the British? ;D www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwMdHJmT01ULol, in case you are wondering ,that is NOT where I got my screen name from. The forces of the Imperium can outmaneuver the Daleks, which, don't get offended by this, reside in tin cans. The Imperium possesses teleporters, jet-packs, drop-pods, and vehicles to get around the battlefield. And what do you mean by the Daleks are coming back?

I'm sure XAOTL will have more to add, but:
Those 'tin-cans' contain pretty much ALL the aforementioned tech.
I'm not kidding.
Oh, and I meant that the Daleks will be returning in this series of Doctor Who.
