So, I just found this on Bulbaforums. This quote is from a self-proclaimed ''Strict Pokeshipper''
I know most of us pretty much knew that a lot of PS were CS and vice versa (though not all of them, of course) but here it is straight from the source. And if I'm not mistaken, either they mean that they wouldn't have liked May unless Drew showed up, OR they mean that they were having concerns about May being with Ash before he showed up. Either way, just saw that this morning and thought I'd quote it here as proof of what most of us already knew. They just wanted something to go against our ship.

Yeah, that makes sense. It wouldn't suprise me if some of this PS/CSers also supported Ikari or Penguin Shippings, to counter PearlShipping.

Well at least we now have direct proof of what we assumed. The Pokeshipers found May a threat and as soon at the pretty-boy Drew came in, they paired them up instantly. And like Dave said, thats probably how Ikarishipping got its start as well.

Obviously Advanceshipping is a serious threat to them. Which is why they boot off May to hook up with Drew. Before May returned a lot of them deluded themselves into thinking May and Drew were actually traveling together, which clearly is not the case as proven by the recent anime episodes.

I just noticed... Ash+Misty=Pokeshipping May+Drew=Contestshipping/releif for pokeshippers Ash+May=Advanceshipping/destroying both of our rival ships...>) It's sad how all the hotheaded ships have to do this though.=( I especially hate in the KND fandom. It was sad at the beggining, thankfully they grew up.=3 Back on Topic: Ima not gonna say anything bout Ikarishipping, that's my second fav ship. But unfortuantly, the Pokeshippers are afraid of competition, and when we stepped in...they went on red alert. So contestshipping came, and they decided to use that as a safeguard... I think I figured it out. Why they're so narrow-minded. (If yall found this out WAY before me, sorry.=P) BECAUSE of that safeguard, Pokeshippers relaxed, allowing Drew to give his roses and allowing May to blush. Sprouting off was contestshippers (and also the new 10 year olds who just started watching as well) turning contestshipping into what they see as full-bloom. Leaving us with less shippers. Also they started to become narrow-minded, because as they saw this happening, they started drilling into their minds the same thing: If you blush, you like them. This caused themto block out other shippings, and belive that this is what happens. Just becuase some Characters of the Day fell in love. BUT we don't know what happened to them! Oscar and Andy couldve broken up, those little kids in the Orange Islands couldve lost intrest. I'd go on and on but what I'm trying to say, is that the safeguard Pokeshippers put up to "throw away the competition" or "forget their fears" is why their so narrow-minded, so egotistical! Cause they think they're safe. My head hurts.XP

EXACTLY IT!!! (Oh, and the rest of this post is a history of shipping, basically) You see, all of our problems began when the AdvanceShippers separated from the PokeShippers. They were mad about Misty being replaced, so they went to the next ship that would oppose AdvanceShipping directly, ContestShipping. Eventually, the abundance of stuff in their favor early on gave them a sense of security, and they grew narrow-in-mind. However, some PokeShippers were still good with this, and they stayed in the OPS (Official PokeShippers) until the elitists took over, therefore making PokeShipping groups obsolete (they're currently trying to reform, but to almost no avail). So, that is why PokeShippers and ContestShippers always seem to be the same.

Therefore, if we can separate them, all our problems would be solved...
