Meh, the movies aren't as good as the books. I am interested to see how the cover the missing horcrux from movie 5. They didn't put it in and it was VERY important.

Well...they tend to leave out a lot of stuff in the movies. Movies are never as good as the books, but that doesn't mean the movies aren't good in their own medium.

Films are always worse than the books. Just look at War Of The Worlds. Love the book, hate the movie.
I'll watch it though, due to my love of the series.
I'd rather have Discworld films though.......

For some reason, I think the movies have been losing their aura. Not that I think they're bad; I think they're great! They just don't...feel the same.
However...maybe I'll be able to overlook it slightly? You know, if John Williams returns as the main composer for at least one of the next three movies. YA HEAR ME, WARNER BROS.!?

{blows dust off thread}
Sheesh, over a year?
Annnnnnnnnnnywaaaaaaaaaaays.......
Saw this film today, and was fairly impressed. It was good, though not quite living up to the book (as is always the case). The Shipping was a little heavily laid on, imo, but I guess that 's the guy in me talking >.>;;
Awesome performances from the main cast, in particular Hermione, Ron, Dumbledore, Snape and Malfoy. The best characters were probably Luna (as always) and Lavender (who's craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzyyyyyyyyyyyy). Slughorn woulda been better if he had his Walrustache.
So yep, good film, much better than OotP
The official Dave movie rater gives it....
8/10
Go, watch, enjoy! =D
(on a side note, I'm thinking of doing these on every film i go watch at the cinema or DVD, Lemme know if this is a good idea or not)

Same like me i suppose. I haven't read an actual novel in the last year or so. In fact the only thing i read is fanfiction. Heck i read it so much i subscribed to an unlimited data package for my phone and check the site 5 times a day on my phone(average roughly 100k words a day in stories) As for when i read harry potter, i didn't like it the 1st time i read it. Only 2 years later did i even find it interesting enough to continue reading(in fact i read the 1st 4 books about 10+ times) but the moment OOTP, HBP and DH came out, i only read them each once because comparing it to the 1st 4 books, i think that there are a hell lot of plot holes and some parts are just really unreasonable.
