This will cause quite a stir in the forum, but oh well, this is the debate board.

Ha! I'm neither!
I'm a Christian who believes in Evolution.
So suck on it.

Without actually dragging my personal spiritual views into the matter, I have to say that I find it most plausible that a higher power created the earth itself, and then, over time, evolution took it's course, creating and developing all of the living organisms we see around us today, including ourselves.

^ You mean intelligent design?

No, not exactly. I mean a combination of both the Intelligent Design and the Evolution theories. The first part of it could somewhat fall under the theory of Intelligent Design, as it would be a higher power creating the Earth/Universe/etc, however, the second part obviously doesn't fall under that as Evolution, atypically speaking, completely contradicts the theory of Intelligent Design as a whole. In other words, IMO, a higher power could have set the basis for things, providing the proper environment, and then evolution just happened to take it's course due to these set circumstances and conditions.

This should be evolution vs. creationism, not atheism, but, w/e
Yeah, I think subsricbe to set middle. A higher power put the species at a point, and nature took its course.

The Domino theory can be used for many circumstances where things act like a set of dominoes. With one force that pushes the dominoes which all fall into place.
In the theory God takes the place of the first force which science has yet to explain, that began the big bang. In the theory it is also considered that all events following (Where the domino chain goes) have been known by god since the beginning (benevolence... e.t.c.) but it is up to some interpretation.

I go with both: a higher being created the universe and continues to do so through evolution. So yes, I'm with JB and Dave. ;D

I'm not all too sure if we should be debating about our beliefs, but personally I'm with Cascade and TDF; the 'higher power' being Hindu Gods and such.
