I like the way lessed-extent crossover appears at a time in which no-one has a clue about what both (or more) are about.
Like the way they crossover Digimon/Pokemon in the old days. (lol)

I think he means how you slightly crossed over characters without actually making them interact or anything. Like how the people are playing brawl, but they don't actually talk to the brawl characters.
