Chapter one
Another day in Pallet. normal until Ashlyn's 10th birthday. Ash and May, now husband and wife lived in Pallet. The lived in the same place where Ash was raised by his mother alone. Ashlyn who was the only daughter of the Ketchum family really wasn't the pokemon person.
She really disliked pokemon. the only pokemon she had was Sparks, a Pichu. a pokemon that evolves into a Pikachu from high friendship. sadly that really hasn't happened yet since Ashlyn hated pokemon, Sparks on the other hand loved her trainer, even she never talked to Sparks unless Ashlyn tell Sparks to get out of her room.
Not only that Ashlyn was cheeky and never obeyed her parents. She really didn’t like them since they were big fans of pokemon. her father, a pokemon battle frontier brain always had hard trainers to battle. He always came home to tell his stories while her mother went to contest in the Kanto region. Always coming home with ribbons from different contest.
Ashlyn loved to hang in the attic. The only place where she could find stuff she loved or hated. Ashlyn was going though many old boxes one day. Sparks who was loyal to Ashlyn always followed her even she didn't asked for it. soon Ashlyn came across a gold pocket watch. It was old and it's shine had faded away. Ashlyn picked it up, showing that she was interested in the object. Ashlyn opened the pocketwatch and saw it was a clock. Ashlyn sighed at disappointment and threw it at the wooden floor.
When the golden pocket watch hit the floor rays of bright light emerged out of the watch. it light made Ashlyn turn around to see what was happening.
"What the?" Ashlyn asked herself.
And before she knew it. both her and Sparks got blinded by the bright light. when the light dissapeared so did they.
Soon when Ashlyn woke up she saw people looking down at her. A young boy who had a raven style hairstyle with a Pikachu on his shoulder. then a young girl who looked like she was the same age as the boy. She had brown hair and had a hairstyle which made her hair spread out. Looking like wings faced down. Then there was a young boy who looked younger then what she had seen earlier. Then the last person she saw was a older boy who looked much older than the three she saw.
“You okay?” the young brunette asked.
“Yeah I’m fine.” Ashlyn replied as she sat up rubbing her head.
Ashlyn who was only ten years old was wearing a white jacket with a red pokeball in the right corner of her jacket. She also was wearing a topless black dress with a red pokeball in the left corner. She also has a side bag like the young brunette.
“What is your name?” Asked the young boy with the Pikachu on his shoulder.
“Ashlyn.” Ashlyn replied as she got up from the grass. “Where am I?”
“You’re here in Hoenn.” The young boy replied who was shortest in the group. “Ash here is going to do the Hoenn battle frontier.”
“And I’m going to do the grand festival again. I don’t have to do the contest again since I got all the ribbons.” The young brunette smiled.
“Ash?” Ashlyn asked in confusion. “Where have I heard that name before?”
“Maybe from your name?” asked the boy who looked the oldest in the group.
“Maybe.” Ashlyn replied.
“Anyway is this yours?” The young brunette said as she offered Spark towards her.
“What!” Ashlyn replied in shock. “What are you doing here!” Ashlyn called out.
“Pi chu!” Spark called out in happiness as he went to cuddle his trainer.
“Aww isn’t that cute.” The brunette said.
“Yeah…” Ashlyn replied in disbelieve.
After the conversation the group invited Ashlyn to join them at lunch.
“Anyway we should introduce ourselves.” Ash begun. “I’m Ash, this girl over here is May, the smarts with the Pokenav is Max and our master chef over there is Brock.”
“Nice to meet you.” Ashlyn replied after taking a bit from her rice bun. Her Pichu also did the same. “How did I get here?” Ashlyn asked.
“Well we were making our way to the last battle frontier until we saw you on the floor without moving. Ash here thought you were dead.” Max replied.
“So..” May said as she begun another topic. “What are you? A pokemon trainer or coordinator?” May asked.
“Umm…” Ashlyn thought. “Neither?”
“What do you mean?” Max asked in disbelieve.
“To be honest I really don’t like pokemon. My parents do. They are all over it. My mother goes to different regions to enter contests and my dad is the leader of the Kanto battle frontier.” Ashlyn replied.
“Then why do you have a Pichu?.” Brock asked.
“I had it since I could remember.” Ashlyn replied.
“Have you had a pokemon battle before?” Ash asked out of the blue.
“Never but I have seen them, boring if you ask me.” Ashlyn yawned.
“Well I’m going to prove you wrong!” Ash replied as he got off his chair. “Come on Ashlyn. A one on one pokemon battle!”
“Thing is I don’t know any moves for Sparks.” Ashlyn replied.
The whole group sweat dropped.
“Well if it from your parents it could be an off spring. Off springs normal have moves that pokemon from the wild or trained pokemon have.” Brock said.
“Hmm…” Ashlyn thought. “I know!” “Fine” Ashlyn replied. “A pokemon battle it is.” Ashlyn replied as both looked in each other’s eyes with determination.
“Now why do I have a feeling Ashlyn have the same determination like Ash?” May asked herself.
