EDIT: Due to incorrect editing on Bulbapedia, it has been confirmed Chimchar will not evolve in episode 126, rather at a later date.
Ash's Chimchar will evolve during this episode. Making Buizel his only Pokemon that is unevolved. (Pikachu counts as evolved since it has a pre-evolved form). A Monferno, Grotle and Staraptor are shown on the movie poster. Monferno is also a special new pokemon appearing in a promotion that will be done during the films release. My sig prediction is coming true!
Another thing I wanted to ask was what do you think Ash's final team (when he faces the league or Paul or Cynthia or Elite Four or whatever) will end up being?
I'm going to guess, Pikachu, Staraptor, Torterra, Infernape, Floatzel and Gliscor. Yeah, I'm actually hoping for Grotle to evolve again and for Buizel to evolve too. To be honest though I prefer his unevolved form, but it would make sense for it to evolve since Buizel likes battling.

I agree with you, although I think he would have some new team members. Perhaps a bug Pokemon?

Man, I haven't watched the anime in ages.... I gotta catch up with Paul's epic awesomness during this break. Anyway I agree with you're prediction of Ash's final team. I think this will actually be the first time where all of Ash's party has evolved. Doesn't matter though the pure win of awesomness that is Paul is still going to whoop Ash's ass.

^ There is always a first time for everything. He is getting better as a trainer.

Well, you'd THINK the Elite Four were there for a reason. =P If no one's beat it yet, there's just no point.

That's not true, Ash and his Staraptor defeated Paul and his Honchkrow before. I prefer to think Paul and Ash are evenly matched. I don't know why you're so down on Ash, I would rather think that he's far more experienced and wiser now than he was in his earlier days. To be fair as well, Ash has not fought any of the Sinnoh Elite Four yet. By the way, if you will recall, Paul was owned by Cynthia early on as well.

He's already gone in the finals three times and and still couldn't beat anyone. Experience? I don't think he's used it.

Still couldn't beat anyone? He's overcome his first rival in a six on six battle. He's been Orange League Champion. He's defeated Spenser, Anabel, Tucker, Lucy, Brandon, Noland and Greta. All of whom I would consider exceptional trainers. Two of them even used Legendary Pokemon. I still don't see what point you're trying to make here, but it is obvious that Ash has grown throughout the course of the series and has become a much better trainer than he was before. What you fail to understand is that being a Master is his goal, if he won every tourney he's been in the story would be lacking and unrealistic in terms of character development. Either way you slice it though, you're wrong he's beaten some very prominent trainers. With the build up of the Elite Four, it is most likely we could see him battle all four, and I think he could very well be facing them in the future.

Again I agree with James. Ash has truly became stronger since he first became a trainer. He has done things that was probably once thought to be impossible in battle. He defeated a Regice and Drake's virtually unbeatable Dragonite with a pikachu, a friggin pikachu! Also the fact that Ash can catch and train fresh and unexperienced pokemon instead of using his old pokemon like every other trainer does and still make to the finals shows his ability and talent as a Pokemon Trainer.

I was talking about anyone in the Elite Four. When you assume that I'm speaking about the trainers, you're only assuming that I'm an idiot. Yes, I can clearly see that he's beaten a fair amount of proficient trainers and the Frontier Brain, but it doesn't necessarily mean that he will beat the Elite Four. And I may recall that he switches his Pokemon at the beginning of each new region.

And I may recall that he switches his Pokemon at the beginning of each new region. To be honest I don't need to assume anything. It's there right in front of me. You are not very good at getting your points across as they lack clarity. Since Ash hasn't faced a single member of the Elite Four in a battle in Sinnoh your point is moot. Why? Because I am talking about the current Ash Ketchum who has obviously improved as a trainer. And also because you're talking about the other non-Sinnoh elite four that Ash faced in the past (key word being past). The fact that this is the first time the Elite Four (as an entire group) have had such build up in the storyline really does point to the idea that the writers would like Ash to face them at some point in the future. The fact that he deposits pokemon at the start of new journeys is irrelevant. Neither you nor I know it, but (if and when) he faces the Elite Four it may very well be like when he faced the Frontier Brains. He may use some of his older, more experienced Pokemon.
