Thatr link I posted has a link to the official glitch way(s) to get mew in red/blue/yellow. ANd luciferix, if that works on crystal, since it needs seals, I will give you $500000000000. In D/P I'll give you +2 KArma.

Go to the Pokemon Teams thread on the Pokemon games board to find the answer.
I was confused about that before a post about it was made on the aforementioned thread.

It had something to do with the Cerulean Bridge. -Tried and tested it on my own Blue game, and guess what? It did work, and there was no corruption resulting. METHOD: 1) There are two trainers that were optional to battle, one on Route 8(between Lavender and Saffron), and the other on Route 25, past the Cerulean Bridge. The former is the gambler facing the front of the entrance to the tunnel-like path beneath Saffron City, and the latter is the kid with the lone Slowpoke as a pokemon. You also need a Pokemon with Fly. 2) Go to the first trainer. Standing just outside the door of the tunnel, take a step downwards, and time it quickly that you have to press START before the trainer "sees" you, and battles you. If it worked, use Fly to get to Cerulean City. 3) Walk through Route 25 until you reach the second trainer mentioned in #1. You must now get him to battle you, but for the code to work, he must "go" to you, A.K.A. he spots you and walks forward. After the battle, fly to Lavender Town. 4) Walk to the nearest exit(obviously Route 8, west). If you have done it right, the menu will pop up automatically, and when you close it, you will fight Mew. EDIT: Do I have to put up the fact that it only works on Generation I games? ;D

Thanks for clearing that Up Dryuu. Maybe I should try to find my First Gen. games and try it out.

The trickiest part of the secret is the first one, with the gambler. You have to make sure that you press START at the right moment, in that your menu opens up before the trainer sees you.
Mew is at Lvl. 5 during the encounter, so make sure that your Pokemon are not too strong, or, at least, the capture specialists of your team. Make sure that you head straight for Route 8 when at the last part of the glitch(at Lavender Town), or it will not work. When I first tried the trick, I was unfortunate to make that mistake, since I didn't have any stock of good Pokeballs at that moment.

My favorite glitch is the missingno glitch like the mew in yellow if you beat a guy on that bridge south of lavender and do the same thing dryuu01 said you'll see missingno. In my pokemon hack I made a red/blue missingno in my pokemon emerald and gave him theses moves
1.Hydro Pump (upgraded water gun) 2.Hydro Pump 3. Sky attack 4.Sacred Fire

the oddest thing I did in crystal was the volcano thing. you do something and you'll see a volcano, I think it was to get celebi

Celebi and a volcano? I'd be skeptic with that, since if you put two and two together, it doesn't make sense, since Celebi is a Grass-type.

All the rumors about Celebi I heard all said that she appeared in the forest shrine next to Azalea. Don't really remember any of the specifics of those rumors though.

Yeah, the GS ball was available for download, and you had to take it to the shrine in Ilex forest, where Celebi could be found. Like so many Celebi related downloads though, it was a Japanese exclusive.
