I must say that there are so many wars popping out nowadays that its getting very hard to keep track of a single one. I mean there's the war on terror(Iraq, Afghanistan and possibly Iran). Then there's the middle east conflict between Israel and Palestine. On top of that we have North Korea threatening to blow up someone because of failed negotiations.
With all the above wars, i wouldn't really be surprised if a few more will pop up in the world over the next few years. My view on the entire matter is that majority of the wars is because people are unwilling to compromise thing, like North Korea is unwilling to compromise its nuclear program.

The reason why N. Korea don't want a comprimise is rather simple... They just want to be a part of a family... a nuclear family.

Man, I'm pretty iffy on the topic of war.
Mainly because my family, and other's alike, have been greatly affected due to the causes of it. Take the Civil War in Sri Lanka (which had ceased recently), for instance. I'll agree with you that some sort of compromise had to be made in order for any country to work - but if it doesn't - then a war ensues. Just as simple as that.
To take into account that people from both parties are pained in some way - for people to maul, kill and die, and there's pretty much nothing most can do about it... that's probably just the sad reality of it all.

I suppose there's nothing much we can do. I can suppose that war is more political than anything else. I doubt anyone really wants to kill someone else for not much of a reason.
