This is probably one of my most favourite (apart from advanceshipping) shipping of all time. And is most probably one of the 1st ever anime coupling i enjoyed. Too bad that the series did not end that way despite all the hints. Anyone else share the same sentiments?

Though it's not my favourite shipping of all time, it is however one of the earliest ships that I've ever come to know and fall in love with; I was probably five, six, maybe seven (?) when I was introduced to Digimon, and I had always imagined them together, like getting married one day.
But, of course, it was up to those damn producers to just randomly chuck Matt in the picture, which had completely infuriated me at the time. Seeing as though their arch is well and truly finished by now, I am not as irate as I used to be, but there is no harm in a gal dreaming, is there? 3:

^ don't suppose so. I saw very little in the way of foreshadowing for the Sorato ending.

They were meant to be and then those damned writers killed it. That upset me, but what can we do?

Nothing, that's what. >.>"
Goddamn producers. The only producers I like, completely, are the Avatar ones... though their acceptance of Shyamalan's direction for the movies wasn't such a great decision, IMHO. *>.<"

M. Night Shyamalan is a great movie producer, I dont except bad things from him and the Avatar movie. :zaru:
But yea, we cant do nothing, if I remember correctly, we all had our little rants on this about a year or so back in another thread...

Tai x Sora is one of my most favourite pairings ever (but not my number one most favourite pairing ever) and it's a shame that the second season ended with Sora getting with Matt. That decision by the producers COMPLETELY pissed me off back then, but that was YEARS ago and I pretty much got over it all those years ago since my alternate universe I've envisioned in my mind where Tai and Sora get married is, in my opinion, at least equally as valid (if not MORESO) as the 'official' universe where they don't.

Shamalan isn't a bad director... but does he fit with Avatar?

I'm not saying he was a bad director, I'm just saying he wasn't the best of producers you could have picked to lead the live-action film.
Nikky, we did... I'm sure; I think it was in one of the favourite shipping threads or something... but either way the producers, directors and every bloody person behind Digimon 01 and 02 screwed us over and I'll simply leave it at that.
But on a slightly different topic, have you ever read a good Taiora fiction before? Like seriously, the only decent stuff I can find is on Sorato, Takari, and Joumi (Mimi x Jo), so it's doing my head in. If you can, feel free post up some links of any Taiora fanfics that tickle your fancy, and that you find it worth reading.

Yea, I know we did. I dont remember where though, it prolly was some irrelevant thread that we managed to off-topic again. =D
Nope, no fanfiction from me, I barely even write it now. :zaru:

What kind of Taiora fanfics are you looking for anyway? I like the fanfics written by logan and animefreak5483. Logan's fics can almost be classified as AU, but more like stretching the time frame they spent in the digiworld. There will be the occasional angst story, but it almost never ends that way. Recommended reads are "stories of december", "Mirage" and "Poetry of the heart" As for animefreak5483, stories are of different settings like there is one set in the wild west, during wars etc, but the stories are pretty good. Recommended reads are "The Love of the Game" and "Are you an Angel?" On a side note. There is a Sorato writer who actually wrote one taiora, and its one of my personal favourite, its called "Seven Days" Links: logan's profile www.fanfiction.net/u/9011/logananimefreak5483's profile www.fanfiction.net/u/260804/animefreak5483"Seven Days" fic www.fanfiction.net/s/1792040/1/Seven_Days

I honestly don't mind any type of fic, so long as it's a decent Toira pairing. Thanks for the links, though, Justice, and I'll be sure to check them out soon.

Lol. Almost 10 years on and we still have people who can't move on from this.
Took this from TV tropes: "A favorite of many, despite the epilogue. "
Just shows that many of the people who watched it are not happy with the ending. Heck not even TK/Kari made it as canon...
After reading an entire page of "Die for our Ship" on TV tropes, i can safely say nobody can agree completely on a ship..

^ True that.
But to me, Digimon ending with no Tai/Sora ending went beyond simply no one agreeing/an unpleasable fanbase.
IMHO, the show spent ages building up Tai/Sora hints, fairly blatant ones too (or so it could be argued) but then in the end BAM! No Happy Ship Ending For You!
I remember the day I watched it, actually. I was just waiting for the Tai/Sora reveal... obviously, it didn't happen. Rock Star Matt gets the girl, for some completely unbeknownst reason instead. :zaru:
It will never make sense to me as to why or how it even happened, but as it was pointed out, it's been nearly a decade. Not like anything can be done to change it. :zaru:
