Right have been trying to find it again, but have found just about every other Advanceshipping fanfic. It was by one of those older ~Advanceshippers, and was posted on Serebii. It wasn't completely completed, because the Advanceshipper who wrote it left before it could be.... AArgh, now This is getting annoying, where has it gone??? I should have saved a link but It used to be in Google if you typed in Advanceshipping fanfic, but IDK where in the virtual world it is now, I just remember that it was almost identical to what was described.

I'm sorry to say that it isn't a real screenshot (though I wish it were). It's a modified version of this screenshot:

Looks real enough for me, hard to tell that its a modified one.

Sadly, I'm going to have to agree with James on this one. The pictures just look like they have been modified to overlap each other. By the way, read the comments on the video.

Yeah the hat would be driving into May's head if that was real. The one edit in PKMN Ranger and the temple of the sea stumped me more than that did.

But the point is that by just a casual glance it does look real. Once you get into the specifics you can pull it apart.

One of the hints that I don't think has been mentioned yet is the fact that May stopped by Ash's house in Kanto right after Hoenn.
Now, as I recall, May dropped by Ash's house in a surprise visit; apparently without much reason either, unless of course, it is because she wants to stay with Ash a little longer.
However, as the Grand Festival ended in Kanto; she probably reached the decision that she could not impress Ash by traveling with him, because Ash would usually solve the problems; so, she would impress Ash by traveling by herself, and solving her own problems, even going without Max as a navigator.

Not to mention that she didn't learn about the Kanto contests until after she left to go to Pallet. So there was another reason besides the contests that made her join up again with Ash.

Yeah, and May could have gone to Johto instead of Kanto, but she decided to visit Ash for a "special" reason, perhaps.
I don't think this has been brought up in many ship debates...

Just to support the above posts. This is a map of Japan with the regions of Pokemon shown, you can find this on Bulbapedia as well. As you can see, Hoenn is Kyuushuu turned on its side. If this map is an indication of actual distance, you can see that Hoenn isn't exactly just down the road from Kanto. This can mean that May certainly put a lot of effort into visiting Ash.

Definitely the first hint that we got, and a good quality one at that.

James, the pokemon regions were based off of regions in Japan, but the pokemon regions are not all next to each other. They are an ocean's distance apart.
Basically, the pokemon world is a larger version of OUR world. The creators just took regions of Japan, and spread them all over the place.
