Mainly Solidad going to Johto. May really wanted a rematch with her.

We've covered this topic before. Its just that the Contestshippers don't understand how competitive May is at times. Just another trait she pulled off of Ash.

Just another trait she pulled off of Ash. could that be another 'slight' hint?

We could consider it a hint but the problem is that its not evidence enough to declare it a hint against other shippings. Most shippers would agree that there is a mentor/student relationship between Ash and May and due to this the fact that she will be taking some of his traits as he trains her will be obvious.
So to make it short, yes it could be a hint for us, but the other shippings would just say we're pulling strings.

Exactly, don't think about why this is a hint for us, think about what can others say against this hint? Think about why it would not be considered a hint and then think of counterpoints that can contest to their objections.

^ With that method, we wouldn't get shot down so much in the debate forums.

Exactly, if you go in to BMGF with guns a blazing you better be prepared with back up (evidence, counterpoints and logical reasoning) or else you will be savaged.

Even if we have logic on our side some of them still don't want to listen to reason though. As we all know the Pokeshippers are infamous for their stubbornness towards our shipping's hints. You can give all the evidence and hints that you want but the only thing that will convince some of them is a confession or kiss in the anime itself. They have it in their heads that the return of their little red head will make Ash finally show his feelings towards her. And yet there are many hints to show that Misty has gotten over her little crush on Ash.
Then again I guess I could say that we are somewhat like that as well. Thankfully its not to this extreme.
But to those out there that actually understand what we are saying and listen to the facts, this would be a great way to go and debate with.

That's true, there are so many people so fanatical about their shippings that you'd be better of convincing a brick-wall. But it's their right to be, shipping is mainly belief and faith, proof and evidence are usually secondary.

But if people are like that, is there really any point in trying to argue?

There is still a point to argue to the opposing shippings because not everyone of them is that unwilling to listen. We just have to focus on those people that are willing to consider other viewpoints, even if we don't completely convince them.

^ In other words, for the people who are willing to reason, take it step by step. They aren't going to switch to Advanceshipping overnight; it's going to take a while for them to think about it, and compare Advanceshipping to contestshipping or pokeshipping.
