Sadly that's why they call it World Wrestling Entertainment. Wrestling isn't a popular amateur sport in my country, but I manage to pick similar fights with those who offend me.

I used to watch the WWE all the time. Not so much now, but I still enjoy it.

I liked WCW and the old ECW they had the right approach. Put to guys in the ring and let them beat the crap out of each other. Also amatuer wrestling isn't really popular any where despite being one of the oldest and proudest sports around.

^ There's still a lot of respect amongst pro wrestling fans for guys like Tazz, Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin who were amateur wrestlers. I loved watching Kurt Angle wrestle, the guy was awesome.

Yeah the reason they get so much respect is related to their backgrounds in amatuer wrestling.

I'm ambiguous about that to an extent. Since they take part in Entertainment wrestling, it's sort of hard when they're faking it or not. However, I do agree, Lesnar, Lashley and Angle were all amazing wrestlers.

Eddie Guerrero was the best though. He was an accomplished mat wrestler, high flyer and he was a fantastic entertainer. I was so sad when he died, he was my absolute favourite.

I gotta say, you have to respect Eddie Guerrero. And Rey Mysterio. And the Hardy's. And Stone Cold. And the Rock. And a whole bunch of others.

^ The first and last time I ever saw Eddie Guerrero perform live was on my birthday, the same year he died. He had a match against Rey Mysterio... I'll never forget it as long as I live.

I gotta say, you have to respect Eddie Guerrero. And Rey Mysterio. And the Hardy's. And Stone Cold. And the Rock. And a whole bunch of others. Notice all of them are either tied to some form of entertainment or amatuer wrestling. Also yes it was really sad when Eddie died.
