Every writer gets writers block, so if you have writers block you could post up your problem here, and people could help you solve it.
orif you have an idea for an Advanceshipping one-shot but various reasons stop you from writing, post here and someone else may write it.
PEACE

I have an idea for a humorus one-shot, but I am having trouble sorting it out. I actually just got this idea, but it was really good. Summary: The girls from Pokemon (May, Misty and Dawn) have a sleepover and in the morning, they have to deal with the one thing no human being should ever have to face......Misty's bed head. I just can't do it, I don't know why though, it is really discouraging me.

Bbb, that seems like a really good plot. I would read it! Even if I thought of something like that, I can't do humour. >.<
^^, Hope you write it, and good luck

I've been trying, but it isn't working. Which is really annoying me. I will keep trying, but who knows how it will turn out in the stage it is in. Maybe someone can adopt it, or atleast help me.

Anyone else ever get stuck on a chapter and try to think of ways to finish it only to find yourself thinking of future chapters rather than the present?

Anyone else ever get stuck on a chapter and try to think of ways to finish it only to find yourself thinking of future chapters rather than the present? That happens to me all the time. From Trials to Trials2, Acquaintance Party and even NWiS, all of them have their endings and climaxes already thought of even before I wrote/submitted the story. Everything in between is completely randomized by my mind right on the spot. Solution(well, not a general solution, but still): Listen to music videos that correspond to the genre of fiction you're writing(e.g.: a romance video for a love story, of course). I always get my ideas after listening to the right videos. It's up to you what videos are right for your story. Hope that helps.

Hmm, I do something similar to that already. I listen to my MP3 player when I go for a walk and I picture things in my mind as I listen to the songs. Thanks for that.

Glad to offer help. Besides, I thought listening to music would be common sense anyway, so at first I had doubts about posting the tip in the first place.

Not at all, I do it all the time. I thought I was the only one who did that! ;D

Right, heres a problem I seem to continuously get.
What do you do when you have that lazy feeling, when you don't really want to type anything?

XAOTL. two things I try to do to make writing a chapter easier are:
1) Take a walk, maybe listen to some music, run the dialog or event of the chapter you're thinking of through your head, sometimes that pushes me to keep writing.
2) I handwrite some dot points to make it easier to type the story and its events as they unfold. It is particularly useful when writing Pokemon battles and making them interesting fights.
These two things I have found help the process. Ultimately though, it's all about pulling your finger out and knuckling down to some serious typing. I am in the same boat as you and I am trying to get a chapter done too, so good luck.

Yeah i know some people have been waiting for my next update on "Lucario and the Mystery of May" But i have this writers block.
I'm trying to find a reason why Lucario would doubt Ash's feelings for May. If i can get that through than i can continue

^ Things like that happen to me too, every once in a while. I just get sudden insights to procede through the plot, you know, an epiphany.

And at least you haven't kept the fans waiting for what I believe is now three months.
