Dang it, Xaotl brought up the point that I was going to put in before I came home.
The amount of energy in joules it takes to seperate H20 into their respective reactants - hydrogen and oxygen - is equal to the energy yielded from combusting the reactants.
Unless I have a sudden epiphany, Xaotl has a point about the food crisis and the oil prices.
