^ 1. You can use a rare candy to level up. It doesn't make any difference if you trained it by hand if you maxed out your effort points.
2. Use experience share and battle trainers in the survival area, the elite four, OR the trainers in the extended part of Victory Road. (The part where they don't allow you to go until you defeated the Elite Four)
I can't wait to battle some of you guys, I'll make the announcement in the Battle Room thread when I'm ready. ;D

I just use rare candies to finish them off from ~95. Those levels are too long to worry about, especially with the exp guzzlers who require over a million exp to get to lvl 100.
Besides EVs for me are usually already filled by level 20 before I start power leveling them enough to defeat the Elite Four by themselves.
Like Praetor said, once the EVs are filled it doesn't matter how you raise them up to lvl 100. I just wish that the Elite Four would have powered themselves up the second time around like in Fire Red/Leaf Green.

Yeah Firered and Leafgreen had some pretty tough contenders the second time around. Hey guys the thing with rarecandies is that even though they level up, they don't give you as good as stats as regular training would.
I once was so worried about Heart Scales, then i found out there are unlimited in the underground and now i have a lot of them.
Those who have a torterra in their party, go to the move tutor and you'll find he can learn Wood Hammer.
I have almost a full box of powerful pokemon that i call my frontier, i will probably be trading some of them for needed items that i can't get like the electerizer.
Oh and i bought the National Dex on wednesday last week on Amazon.com. It should be at my house eiether tommorw or the day after.

Nice, somewhere i can shine... Yeah, i know. Lots of pokemon for me. But it works! My main teams are in my sig I also have lots of legendaries, including a legit mew, but i don't use them, as i consider it to be cheating, no offense Anyone know why Wobbuffet is considered uber? i just have one cos its a good wall Dave

Wobbuffet's trait, Shadow Tag(prevents switch-in) limits an opponent's choices during a battle. Then, the opponent has no other choice but to attack, which will be met with Counter or Mirror Coat, easily predictable especially since there are only 4 moves per Pokemon. And, with a high HP stat, Wobbuffet can survive almost any accepted offense. That would be particularly be one-sided, don't you think?

One of my friends laughed at me when I used Wobbufet against him while we were battling on stadium once. He stopped laughing very quickly.
Although he laughed even harder at my Persian back in R/B/Y. But he stopped laughing yet again after 4 Crit slashes killed over half his team before he even got a single hit.
You think he would have learned the first time...

Fair enough, i've just seen loads of online competitions that ban wobb, so i was a bit confused, but i suppose it is fairly awesome.
Consecutive crits are always good, esp. Choice Band + Garchomp + Outrage + Critical. my opponant / friend was not amused.

Dave this is why Wobbuffet is frowned upon:
"Wobbuffet is the one of the two non-legendary Pokémon to be considered "uber" in the metagame due to its HP stat, attacks, and ability overcentralizing the game completely. All its trainer needs to do when using Wobbuffet is predict whether the opponent's next attack will be physical or special to deal double damage. They can also use Encore and instantly apply the previous move. In addition, because of its ability, a Mirror Match or a Wynaut Vs. Wobbuffet in a 1-on-1 battle can instantly lock the game for more than 70 turns or permanently if both Pokémon are equipped with Leftovers." - From Wobbuffet's Bulbapedia article.
Wobbuffet's cheapness was brought down a little bit now that Pokemon with Shadow Tag, Arena Trap and Run Away negate this ability. It's still a pain in the butt to fight, not impossible but a real pain in the butt.

Well this was also back in R/B/Y, and for me it seemed like almost every other Slash attack that I did resulted in a critical. It was my favorite move back then.

I can see why wobbufett is considered uber, especailly after i heard about the encore part. But Why doesn't everyone raise up their special attack before they strike Wobby?
I need to modify my Gyrados alot, he's not suited at all for wi/fi. Same goes with my Gengar, and i need a torchic egg too.
Oh my National Pokedex guide came in yeesterday afternoon. It's helped me so much, now i found out about the egg moves.
But question; How does an egg pokemon learn certain egg moves?

Its just as easy to use Bulbapedia and the guides at GameFaqs instead of buying that guide. But question; How does an egg pokemon learn certain egg moves? I'm not sure if I fully understand the question but the father has to have the egg move/TM on his move list to give it to the baby.

If you maxed out your EV points then you would get as much stat points as you would if you trained it by hand. It is the effort points that provide the extra stat points that you see when you train by hand, but there is a limit to how much you can get. Once that limit is reached, then there is no difference between giving the pokemon rare candies and training them by hand. Wobbfett is a tough pokemon. Remember that it dishes out twice the damage you inflict, and they have pretty good defensive stats. There are only a few ways to knock them out- the best way, though, would be to use hypnosis to incapacitate it before attacking. Or you could use a K.O attack. How did you get 4 consecutive critical hits? I used to use gyrados almost all the time for battle, but I'm limiting my use of them because of their limited movesets.

I really don't know, it just seemed like almost every time I used Slash back then it resulted in a critical hit. Thats why it became my favorite attack back then.

Man, I don't know what you are thinking, because I only two Rare Candies left after I got tires of leveling up my Gabite before I got the Barchomp stat boost. How can I get more?

Egg moves are learned from the father, as the female is used for the species. Example, my Feraligatr has Dragon Dance, so I had to breed a female of its evo line with a male Dragonite to hatch a Totodile with that move.
Also if the father knows any TMs the baby can learn, they will be passed down as well.
Eg, My Garchomp was hatched with the moves Outrage, Earthquake, Aerial Ace, and Tackle. Outrage is an egg move, and Earthquake and AA are TMs it can learn
This means if a species is male only, (Tauros, Hitmons) the only egg moves they will have are TMs their father knows, as they have to be bred with a Ditto.
If you really want Rare Candies, you could do what i'm doing... training about four Pickup-ers, (Zigzagoon, Phanpy) get them to level 91 and you'll get: Revive - 30% Rare Candy, Dusk/Shiny/Dawn Stones, Full Restore, Max Revive - 10% PP Up - 5% Max Elixer - 3% Leftovers, Earthquake TM - 1%
Though this may defy the point.
I prefer going through the league with a lucky egg, and switching.
Hope this helped
