Just as the title said. I didn't write any advancechipping in a long while, so here's my part. Not all of them are necessarily stories, though. I'd like to call them tidbits instead.
"Okay everyone, eat up!"
Laid out in the dinner table were dishes of all sorts. May, the person who prepared the meal during a good portion of the morning, was enthusiastically awaiting their critical reactions to the food.
Max had already had an idea how May's cooking would turn out. However, he couldn't resist. Dawn and Tracey were also just as cautious, Max telling them of his experiences.
"Bottoms up," all three muttered to themselves. Altogether, they each took one dish plate, scooped up the contents with a spoon, and swallowed it whole.
Just as Max predicted, May's dishes are a bit short of delicious. The boys' lips thinned as a first reaction, to be followed by their eyes glazing over. Dawn, on the other hand, looked like she was normal enough, at first glance. Actually, she was paralyzed...
May noticed the reactions from her friends. "It's not that bad, is it?" She took a spoonful herself, and her reaction? Her hair stood up on end! "N- No way...."
"Sorry, May," Tracey barely spoke up, "but it looks like it's back to the drawing board for you..."
May sank down to a chair, her head hung in despair. "No..."
No one spoke for a moment. The silence was broken by the opening and closing of a door somehwere else in the house, to be followed by Ash and Brock.
"Hey, you guys," Ash said. "What's up? Why the weird looks on your faces?"
He spotted the food on the table. "Alright, food! I'm really hungry, let's eat!"
"NO!"
Before the others could act, Ash took one whole plate, and, tilting it down towards his face, swallowed the contents whole.
"Wow, Ash, you really just couldn't just wait when your stomach is concerned, huh?" Brock quipped.
Ash burped so loudly that it echoed throughout the room. He put the now-empty plate back on the table. "Aaah," he moaned, eyes closed, "that hit the spot..."
When he opened his eyes, he saw that everyone had their eyes on him, openmouthed. Brock also saw this, and asked, "What, it's not like you guys to see Ash eat like that, right?"
No one answered, still dumbstruck. May, on the other hand, looked like she got inflated at the idea that Ash actually liked her cooking. "You want some more?" she asked, standing up.
"Yes, please!" ash said, with equal enthusiasm as he sat down next to Max and held an empty plate for May to take.
When the others snapped out of their trance, only one thing came to their minds, in one synchronised thought:
Tracey: "Cast-"
Max: "-iron-"
Dawn: "-stomach..."
Brock scratched his head at the actions of his friends. "Am I missing something here?"
