The "net world" is quite big... one day isn't enough. Now, to the review!
So, Pichu is a reminder of Ash to May... I didn't see that happening.

Pichu is like Pikachu. Misty saw that.
Still, the gel. Misty's getting a bit wound up in one place for so long... Am I right or am I right?
Other than that there's just Team Rocket. TEAM ROCKET FTW. Then Pauls there... What's he doing there? Shouldn't he be doing something, Paulish?

Got. To. Get. It. Out. Of. System. Aaahhh... Anyway... -Who said Paul was there for the same reason as the Rockets? -Someone tell me: did Team Rocket ever give Paul the "honor" of calling him a Twerp? MH27: Another ChallengerIt was after lunchtime. May nearly bumped into someone, who was in a hurry inside the castle. "Sorry," May said quickly. "I'm sorry," the large, burly man said as well. He stopped for a moment to help May up. "Who are you?" May asked. Just then, Pichu came into view, followed by Brock and Misty. "I'm in a hurry right now, so I'm sorry again." The man raised an eyebrow at Pichu for a second. Then, he walked up the flight of stairs leading to the office quarters of the castle. "What was that about?" Misty asked. "I don't know, but he sure looks like he's in a hurry," May said. The newcomer was, in fact, Armand. It is no surprise, of course, that he would have heard what happened at Route 12, so close to his area of jurisdiction. He headed to the fortress to confront Mask, but I don't think it was to report the incident. In Mask's room, which of course also doubles as his office... Armand tossed a piece of wood across Mask's desk. Upon closer inspection, the wood is actually part of the destroyed gangplanks of Route 12. "I bet that I don't need to tell you what happened, huh, Mask?" Armand said crossly. "Humor me," was Mask's short reply. Armand narrowed his eyes. "More and more random attacks, and each more haphazard than the previous one. This is not something to laugh about, you know that! "We have to set the plan in motion, Mask, or else you know what will happen!" Armand slammed his fist onto Mask's desk, creating a loud sound and rattling the wood. Mask, however, didn't flinch at the sound or the tone of Armand's voice. "Do not worry. Friends of mine, if you call them friends, are buying us some time. We still need the boy." "If you're paying attention, you should know that Ash is still far from completing the Pokemon League. That's your plan for him, right?" "Wrong." Mask stood up, then turned around to face the window behind him. "You, my friend, haven't even touched the tip of the iceberg to figuring out my plan." Armand was beyond being furious, but kept silent. --- The group finally reach solid land, on Route 13. They all praised Ash's quick thinking that saved their lives at the battle earlier. Since Route 13 is now a one-way path, thanks to recent events, they all decided to stick together for a while until reaching Fuschia City. When the clock struck 7:00 PM, the group decided to set up camp. When they all sat around a campfire, Ash and co. got to know their new friends better. Marky, the fisherman, is a native of Vermillion City, and was a trainer for seventeen years. Darla, also a Vermillion citizen and one of the two female divers, is a Contest enthusiast, so she clicked very well with Dawn. The trainer with the Ludicolo earlier, another fisherman, introduced himself as John. The last of the group is the other female Diver, Loraine, Marky's fraternal twin. Apart from that, some trainers have already gone their separate ways earlier, to Vermillion City. "So, when you say twins," Ash asked, "how come you two are, uh, different?" Dawn rolled her eyes, while Max sniggered. "Ash, fraternal twins are twins that do not resemble each other," the former explained. "Well, excuse me for my lack of knowledge," Ash replied dryly. "Anyways, tell me, Ash, you going to fight the new Fuschia gym leader?" John asked. "Yeah, why?" "I'm going to Fuschia myself for the very same reason," was John's answer. "Really?" Max piped up eagerly. Loraine nodded. "Why else do you think we're heading to Fuschia anyway?" she kidded. Meanwhile, Dawn turned to Darla and Marky. "What about you guys? Why are you going to Fuschia City?" "Simple," the latter said. "Darla and I wanted to re-visit the Safari Zone there, and-" He jerked a thumb at the fraternal twins. "Us close friends always travel together." The group chatted a little more before hitting the hay. Once in the confines of his sleeping bag, Ash, Dawn and Max began to think about their own friends, and whatever could have happened to them. --- "Are you three following me to start trouble again?" Paul asked dryly. He wasn't exactly pleased that three oh-too-familiar, and incompetent in his eyes, idiots are following him. "And who told you we are?" Jessie retorted. Well, for the first time ever, Jessie is actually telling the truth. It's just a coincidence that Paul and Team Rocket arrived at Sunnyshore at the same time."Well, why not tell that to him?" Meowth asked. I am only authorized to speak to you, not to anyone else."You haven't answered our question yet," James spoke up, directed at Paul. "What are you doing here in Sunnyshore City?" Paul felt like he doesn't have to answer their question, so he still kept mum. However, this only infuriated Jessie even more. Luckily for Paul, an intersection is in their path, and he is going in a different direction from the Rockets. The purple-haired trainer headed north, while the Rockets continued forward, to the east. After a consultation of his area map, Meowth finally deduced what Paul is up to. "Heh, I guess he's going to challenge the gym," Meowth told the others. "Hmph," Jessie snorted. "As if we're going to root for him like we do the Twerps, sometimes. "Anyways..." Jessie pointed to the manmade landmark of Sunnyshore City, the Vista Lighthouse, at the southeastern part of the city. "Since a lighthouse feeds on lots of energy, maybe we could start searching for Cyrus' power plant over there. Nice plan, eh?" "Better than your previous plans," James muttered. Meowth nodded in agreement; they both did this behind Jessie's back. I totally and completely agree with you two..."Did you three say something?" Jessie asked, turning around to face "us". All three of us shook our heads rapidly. After all, everyone's afraid of incurring the female Rocket's wrath, right? CONTINUED

So Mask has an intricate plan underneath of his sleaves. Freinds would most likely mean Rockets, altough it could be somebody comepletely different. Yet he dosn't tell any of his gym leaders.
Ash and the group now on the other hand meet another trainer. No doubt that he's gonna lose, while Ash wins. After all he is the hero. But then again...
Paul is chalenging the gyms in Sinnoh. I didn't know that they were in Sinnoh... Stupid brain. Now the Rockets have a plan. A plan that will Suceed for once. Or will it?
Lastly, Armand took a look to Pichu. I wonder if there's something wierd with it???

-It's just that Armand remembered Ash through seeing Pichu's hairstyle, that's all. ;D -I'm afraid that this one will have to mostly be Rocket-centric. MH28: Cyrus the Recluse
While the Twerps are asleep, the Rockets(in a different time zone but you get the point) are busy inspecting the area surrounding the Vista Lighthouse. The locals of Sunnyshore do not find them strange; perhaps, because they thought that the Rockets were part of that "Galactic bunch" seen on TV a few months ago.
The trio of bunglers-
"Why do you keep calling us that?" Jessie retorted.
Mum.
"Ugh, we should get you replaced," Jessie said airily. She raised her voice so the others can hear her. "James, Meowth, you two find anything?"
"Nope," was her questionably male partner's reply, from one side.
"Nothing here either," came the Pokemon member of the trio, from the other.
"Wobbuffet!"
Jessie rounded on the last respondent. "Do something useful for once, and help us with the search!" She tried kicking the blue blob, but the latter quickly scurried away to the safety of his "only best friend", Meowth. However, the Scratch Cat wouldn't want anything to do with him, either.
"Wobba..." The Pokemon, feeling lonely, walked away from both Jessie and Meowth. He approached a not-so-inconspicuous square tile a few feet from the lighthouse, then, a second later, felt himself shifting, or, more likely, sinking.
"Wobba Wobbuffet!" the blue blob screamed, waving his arms over his head, trying to call the attention of his teammates.
"Ugh. Be quiet, will you?" Only when Jessie turned in that direction did she actually show concern. "What did you do?" she scoldingly asked, when she ran to Wobbuffet, trying to pull him out. "James, Meowth, need some help over here, NOW!"
All three tried pulling Wobbuffet out of his sinking state, but instead got pulled in themselves! The quartet sank into an unknown lower level of the lighthouse. Interestingly, Wobbuffet, the first one to sink, was the only one standing tall, while his cohorts are in a heap, beneath him.
From the outside, the sinking of the Rockets was not seen by anyone with a keen eye. Or, at least, not from the sky, of course.
When Meowth, the very one on bottom, was the first to regain consciousness. "Hey, geroff me!" he screamed to his still semi-conscious cohorts, using his limp foot to push James' head off of him.
The small light provided by the hole the Rockets created, illuminated only their part of the floor. The rest is completely dark, but Meowth could sense someone is there beyond the darkness.
"Wait!" Meowth shouted to the hidden figure. The figure walked away from them. The latter then tried scrambling after him from beneath Jessie and James, but still they wouldn't budge.
Meowth had to scratch James' face to wake him. The latter, writhing in pain, in turn pushed Jessie and Wobbuffet off of him. However, by this time the stranger has disappeared.
"Ow, Meowth," James groaned, touching the part of his face where he was scratched, "what did you scratch me for?"
"Never mind that," Meowth retorted. "Come on, I think we just found Cyrus!"
Baffled but re-invigorated by the news, Jessie and James, the former recalling Wobbuffet, followed Meowth. The Scratch Cat whisked a penlight from hammerspace, and shone it around them.
A thin, but powerful, light revealed them to be not in a room, but a man-made tunnel. Meowth shone the light in the direction the stranger took, and called on his cohorts to follow him.
The Rockets trekked through the dark tunnel, with Meowth's penlight their only source of visibility. The light from the hole they made, fades farther and farther away. They begin to feel like the tunnel is leading them downwards in a sloping manner. Both Jessie and James crowded around Meowth's light, obviously afraid of what might be beyond the darkness.
"How deep does this go, anyway, Meowth?" Jessie asked nervously. "This is really giving me a case of the ultra-Willies!"
"Why are you asking me that for?" Meowth retorted. He's finding it hard to disguise the nervousness in his voice. "I haven't been here before either, remember?"
With all three busy arguing, they didn't notice Meowth's light "stop", and they all walked up face-first into a wall. "YEOWCH!"
All three also stumbled backwards after the impact. James and Jessie grabbed their noses, feeling that they were flattened. Meowth also tried the gesture, but remembered that the, once thought to be long gone, running gag of his not having a nose.
"What hit us? An 8-wheeler truck?" James muttered, rubbing his nose tenderly.
Meowth stood up, and grabbed his penlight, which fell to the ground in the collision. He shone it to where they hit the wall. However, it wasn't a wall; in fact, it is a large metal door!
"Well, this might be it," Meowth told the others. "Come on, this thing is big, we have to force it open."
All three Rockets got to their feet, and tried pushing the door forward, but it wouldn't budge. Jessie, having rare brainstorm, called out Wobbuffet, and asked him to use Counter. She then made use of the sloping floor, and then "accidentally" tripped the Patient Pokemon, making him crash into the door.
Just as Jessie planned, the strength of the door was rebounded thanks to Wobbuffet's Counter, blasting it open by the hinges.
"Wow, Jess," James muttered, as he inspected the parted hinges, "never thought you had it in you..."
"Hmph, and I thought we've been partners for a long time," Jessie teased. She then proceeded to laugh.
The sort of laugh often used by female anime villains, where they cover their mouths while laughing? That's the one. It always creeps me out, and Jessie is no exception.
Something hit me right on the back of the head. I didn't even know what hit me, literally.
OW! HEY! Who did that?!
Jessie quickly stowed a large paper fan out of sight, then turned to her cohorts. "Ignoring the stupid narrator, let's go find that Cyrus!"
"You don't have to," said a voice from the shadows. "I already found you." From the direction of the voice, a middle-aged man appeared. He is exactly like the one seen on the university yearbook back in Veilstone City, with ten more years to his age, more or less.
Cyrus eyed the uniforms of his guests, then scowled, recognizing the insignia. "Terrific. The Great Giovanni decides to pester me with his underlings."
The Rockets easily misunderstood Cyrus' phrase, thinking the latter was praising their Boss. Of course, we all know better...
"Shut up!" Jessie screamed shrilly, ringing my ears horribly. Cyrus turned on his heels, and walked away. "Wait," the female Rocket called out, but Cyrus ignored her and continued, walking past a large machinery.
"We need to talk to you on our Boss' orders!" James added. This only hastened Cyrus' movements, and he was now out of sight.
Afraid of losing their target, the Rockets immediately gave chase. They rounded the corner, circling the machine, and turned another corner. Upon catching up with Cyrus, they found themselves in a hi-tech laboratory of sorts.
"Wow," Meowth said in awe, observing the layout of Cyrus' lab.
"What are you three here for?" Cyrus snapped. "So that that stupid Giovanni sending you here for now?"
"Huh." One thing was brewing through the minds of all three. "Now that we found him, WHAT do we have to do?" James asked his cohorts.
"Uh, oh," Meowth muttered. "The Boss never did tell us what to do next, did he?"
---
Meanwhile, back in the Rocket hideout...
"Hmm," Giovanni mulled, a hand to his chin. "I wonder if I should have anticipated the fact that those three bunglers might actually find Cyrus. Then I would have told them what to do next."
Upon realizing the mistake, Giovanni slapped his own head in frustration. "Ugh, I think their bungling is contagious! Oh, well, at least I have a back-up plan this time.
"Come out, Mr. Mime!" The Barrier Pokemon appeared. "You know what to do, right? Use Role Play then Skill swap!" Giovanni asked. Mr. Mime nodded, then went into a psychic trance.
---
James suddenly felt something moving from his hips. It turns out that his Mime Jr. is the "recipient" of Mr. Mime's Role Play move. The aforementioned baby Pokemon released himself from James' Pokeball, much to the astonishment of everyone.
"Mime Jr., what are you doing?" James asked.
Mime Jr. turned to him, and much to everyone's astonishment again, except perhaps Cyrus, he talked! And the voice belonged to none other than Giovanni!
"Don't worry," he addressed James, "this is only temporary." Mime Jr. turned to Cyrus. "Long time no, er, see, Cyrus."
"Can't say the same for myself." Cyrus crossed his arms, and his scowl only worsened. "What is it that you want from me now, old friend?"
"Simple, and I'll make this quick, since we don't have much time. What do you know about the time-space distortion surrounding the Pokemon world?"
"I don't know," was the curt reply. Cyrus was hiding something, and Giovanni knew him too well to believe what he said.
"You know something, and I doubt that you want to tell us anytime soon." Giovanni projected a scowl very uncharacteristic for a Mime Jr. "Not even if there are thousands of lives across the regions at stake?"
Giovanni's three underlings, listening in intently, suddenly felt an urge to shiver terribly. Cyrus, however, was unaffected.
"B- B- Boss," Meowth managed to stutter, "is w- what y- you said t- true?"
"Of course," was Giovanni's reply. "You sent me reports on the Los Alamos incident, remember? Think of the consequences if that would happen again, only on the entire Pokemon world."
Cyrus snorted. "If you know me any better, Geo, you would know that that's what I would love more than anything."
Giovanni turned back to him. "And that also made me think if you're behind this whole plot in the first place! In fact, you might even be that masked man who's in the center of this whole mess!"
Cyrus didn't turn away. Rather, he looked Giovanni/Mime Jr. right in the eye. "And again, that's where you're wrong."
"If you're not who I suspect, then I suggest you cooperate."
"You're in no condition to threaten me or anything, Geo. However-" Cyrus turned to the desk behind him, and opened a drawer. "Do you know why I failed to fulfill my own plans of recreating a new universe?"
"Is it because of an annoying Twerp that appears once every Pokemon game and anime?" Meowth jokingly suggested.
The Galactic's leader frowned at that comment, but quickly dismissed it. "No. It's because of this." He threw something towards the Rockets, and James caught it. It was a piece of crystal fragment. Cyrus threw another object, and this time Jessie caught this second one. The second object was a large pink shell that was broken in half, right down the middle.
"Wow," James said in awe. "These things must really cost a large fortune."
"They should," Cyrus said. "After all, they are what remains of the Time and Space Pokemon, Dialga and Palkia."

-The latest edition of "Pichu Antics" has the eponymous Pokemon try to break the 4th wall, literally! MH29: Universal Fate
Upon hearing what they were holding, Jessie and James dropped their respective objects. Meowth was also terrified of the unveiled fact, himself. In fact, he couldn't even find his voice.
Giovanni, in Mime Jr.'s body, approached the two objects. When Mime Jr. touched them, a psychic current passed through Mime Jr.'s body, then through Mr. Mime's, and finally to Giovanni. After that feeling, Giovanni was sure not to doubt Cyrus' revelation.
"How long have you known?" Giovanni asked. "No, wait, let me rephrase: How did you find out about this?"
"Of course how long! Didn't I tell you that I dropped my plans upon finding out about this?
"I found them at the literal peak of my plans, on the Spear Pillar." Cyrus slammed his fists on the table behind him, rattling its contents. "And, I have a feeling that our masked friend may have something to do with this.
"Now tell me, is there something that you find that is very familiar about the diamond crystal?"
Giovanni didn't need time to think about that one. "It's his mask. It's made out of this, isn't it?" he asked, holding out the crystal fragment.
Cyrus merely nodded. "Looks like leading a crime syndicate hasn't rotted that oversized brain of yours. Yes, his mask is made out of the same fragment you see here, from the chest diamond crest of Dialga. I'm even betting that that mask's eyesockets are the same as the pieces of the two pearls on Palkia's shoulders."
Again, the three Rockets felt a shiver of fear as their Boss continued the grave discussion with Cyrus. If the latter was correct, then the masked man's, er, mask, is a sort of death mask! The death mask of two powerful Legendary Pokemon, in fact!
"The power to control time," Cyrus continued, waving a hand over the crystal, "and the power to bend space," pointing to the half pearl. "The powers that I seek the most in my whole life. Now, they're in my grasp, yet I'm the least bit content. And, old friend, have you figured out why?"
"Because that masked man beat you to it."
"Exactly." Cyrus put in an expression even more stonier than usual. "You're right, Giovanni. The world is in danger of being devoured by a black hole, if you may, but we're not the only ones in danger."
"What do you mean?"
"You can't expect that our world is the only world in this universe, do you?" Cyrus mockingly asked. "There are more, lots more. I've been keeping tabs with news, you know, something that you should do once in a while.
"Mysterious monsters attacking at random places. I doubt that they're new species of Pokemon. There are also reports of certain landmarks appearing in one place to appear simultaneously in another. It all leads to one thing.
"The many various worlds, or realities, in the universe, including one, or maybe even more, that may be a parallel to ours, are starting to converge on each other, slowly becoming one. Once that happens, the single, compressed world will be easily devoured by the black hole unless it is stopped."
"And how do you stop a black hole?" Jessie inquired, hoping Cyrus, who seemed to have a broad knowledge on the matter, to have the answer.
"Good question. Since the black hole in question was caused by the dispute of the two Pokemon of time and space, I'm willing to bet that they're the ones capable of stopping it themselves. However, that is not an option anymore, as you can see."
Team Galactic's Boss seems to have finished in his story. Giovanni may or may not have returned to his body yet. No one can tell since Mime Jr. kept quiet the whole time now.
"Hey, Boss," James said, nervously approaching Mime Jr., "you still there?"
Mime Jr. responded by jumping into James' arms. This easily indicated that Giovanni left the Pokemon's body.
"Now what?" Jessie asked rhetorically.
Cyrus was also curious on what they plan on doing next. However, Mime Jr. suddenly jumped out of James' arms again. "Ah, that's better. Now, where were we?"
"Huh? Boss? We thought you left Mime Jr.'s body?" Meowth exclaimed.
"I did, but only for a few minutes. I had to go to the bathroom." The Rockets sweatdropped, and Mime Jr./Giovanni turned back to Cyrus. "Tell me, if you wanted something like this to happen, then why are you telling us all of this if you know we're going to stop it?"
"It's simple. Delia's boy. How old is he now?"
Giovanni turned back to his subordinates. "What do you three think?"
Jessie blinked, since she thought they were the last ones to be asked that question. "But Boss... We don't know who this Delia's boy is, nor who Delia is for that matter!"
"Ugh, don't these three even knew?" Giovanni asked himself. "The one kid you kept tailing because of that unique Pikachu of his, of course! He's Delia Ketchum's child, the one we're talking about!"
"Ooohhh... You mean him, the annoying Twerp," the Rockets all said together. They couldn't see it, but Giovanni, in his hideout, was rubbing his forehead in contempt again.
"Well, what do you think?" Giovanni continued. "How old is he now?"
"Hmm, well, I think we've been following him for five years, I think," James said, absentmindedly counting the countless times they have been sent blasting off.
"Well, then, you said that you started stalking him and his friends since the start of his journey, so-" Giovanni turned back to Cyrus. "He is around fifteen years old, I'll bet."
"I see." Cyrus was silent for a moment. In order to answer his inquisitive guests, he quickly, and irritably, said, "That's it! That's my reason, and there's no reason for any of you to pry!"
---
Well, after that startling revelation, we turn our attention back to May's group again and- HE- HEY! What are you doing?
Pichu is right in front of the camera. He is dangerously, and playfully, swinging a large hammer back and forth, the latter direction of which the camera is in!
Stop that! We're not even insured!
The last swing could have destroyed the camera! Luckily, Pichu's self-proclaimed guardian Noctowl grabbed the hammer with his beak at the very last moment of the backward swing. The very wise Owl Pokemon motioned at the camera, then at the hammer, before shaking his head disapprovingly at Pichu.
Afterwards, Pichu was picked up by Noctowl's beak at the back of the neck, before flying off to May. The latter saw the two, and opened her arms to welcome Pichu dropping in, literally.
"Pichu," May said, a little scoldingly, "I've been looking all over for you. What trouble have you been into now?"
Noctowl was the one to answer. Instead of the rolling of eyes accustomed by most, he instead rolled his head. Pichu tried mimicking the movement, but of course, couldn't do it.
Incidentally, May and Noctowl walked past the door to Mask's office on their way down to join her parents and friends for a meal. Noctowl thought he felt something beyond the doors, but not even his Foresight vision could tell what.
Mask, on his desk, and "his back to the camera", was asleep. The mask he wears lies on the desk in front of him. Upon closer inspection, we can see that Cyrus is correct.
The mask is indeed made of a blackened fragment similar to the ones in the hands of the Galactic Boss. The hole where the eyes should be are also in fact made of pink pearls.
We should also sneak a peek to who Mask really is, but I still want to keep all of you in your toes. In other words, we will leave him alone for now.
CONTINUED -Blame the plot I conjured here on the time I spent playing Final Fantasy V! If anyone who read this also played that awesome game, don't worry, there is an original twist to this.

Well I believe that I forgot to praise Pichu's antics in my real review, so I'll say a few words here. That little thing is pretty much concentrated mayhem. If Mask's plans were based less on the power of the mask and more on technology, I would almost suggest letting the little devil roam free into the room with Mask's servers. I'd give the fortress less than five minutes before the thing would completely shut down.
Needless to say when this is all over May (and more than likely Ash as well by that time) will once again have their hands full just trying to keep that thing under control.

MH30: Sky's the Limit
WARDROBE CHECK: Since they'll be around for a few more episodes, I decided to put this up. John's and Marky's normal fishing wear is generally accepted, but Darla's and Loraine's is another case. When not "swimming", they don pink and orange(common female swimsuit colors) tops, respectively, underneath matching white jackets similar to Ariel's. For the bottom, they wear jeans. Yes, jeans, I never was good with fashion statements anyway.
At the top of a small plateau, Ash and friends(old and new) have glimpsed a view of Fuschia City. it's exactly like the way Ash last saw it. Wait a second, scratch that. Ash never even got a good glimpse of the city at all, just the gym, right?
"Hmm," Meowth muttered. "I think you're right about that one..."
You're not even on this scene, or region, for that matter! What are you doing here? OUT!
"Geez, okay, okay, I was only giving some insight," Meowth said, turning to leave. "This is what I get for playing a good guy. NO MORE!"
You never were a good guy in the first place, like you always said... Anyways, now that the annoying interruption is gone, let's continue with the story.
And Ash just remembered something. "Hey, I thought that the Fuschia gym was located far from the city? I recall stumbling across it on some thick woods..."
"Well, Ash, this is a new League we're talking about, or did you forget?" Dawn reminded him.
"Dawn is right," Loraine agreed. "Sure enough that with a new Pokemon League there should also be new locations for its gyms."
"But still..." This time it was Ash who reminded Dawn and Max about something. "The Cerulean City's remained the same, even with a transition between two leagues."
However, Marky, a deep thinker, provided his theory. "Ash, the Cerulean City gym remained the same, because both old and new gym leaders there specialize in water-types. Moreover, the first Fuschia gym specialized in poison-types, while the new one specialized in flying-types.
"It would make sense for them to relocate the gym now that there's a new gym typing," was Marky's conclusion.
"Well, yeah, I guess you're right," Ash admitted. "Anyway, let's go. We won't be getting that gym badge just standing around here!"
"Let's race, then, Ash," John challenged. "Whoever gets to the gym first gets to challenge the leader first."
"You're on!" They both broke into a sprint, running towards the downwards-sloping path that led to the city, leaving their friends in their wake.
"Well," Dawn said, rolling her eyes, "I think Ash has found someone he can relate with..."
"Just what we need, TWO of the same trainer," Darla, John's self-appointed girlfriend, as she said, added with a sigh. "Great, really great..." This got a laugh from everyone present. However, not wanting to be left behind, the rest of the group raced after their impatient-as-ever friends.
From what Ash remembered, the Fuschia gym that he's been to was like a Japanese-style castle. Fuschia City, in general, followed the same theme, although there are bits of "modern society" here and there. In other words, the city is summed up as a sort of mixture of two time periods(past and present).
At a city street, Ash and John split up, looking for the Neo gym in different directions. One thing's for sure, there is absolutely no telltale sign of the gym anywhere they go!
'Where in the world could that gym be?' Ash thought, scratching his head. "Staravia, Gligar, go!" he said, calling out his two flying-types. "Spread out and help me find the gym, you guys."
The two Pokemon nodded, and then flew in different directions. By this time Dawn and Max caught up with Ash. "You guys find any sign of the gym?" Ash asked as they approached.
Dawn shook her head. "We thought you found it by now, Ash!"
Ash shrugged. "Sorry." He was saved from further embarrassment by the arrival of the others. When asked the same question, Marky's answer was, "You wouldn't believe it until we show you. Come on."
Ash's group was led not further into the city, but into the valley surrounding it! "Wait a second. Is the gym located outside the city?" Max asked.
"Something like that," Darla said with a grin. "Everyone, the gym is not in the city, it's over it!"
"WHAT?!" those unfamiliar with the fact exclaimed. "You are kidding, right, Darla?" Dawn added.
None of them would answer the question just yet. As they climbed a small plateau, they saw John waving at them from the top. "Well, Ash," he quipped, as they joined him, "looks like I win our little race."
"Yeah, I guess... But, where is the gym?"
John pointed to a wooden sign right next to him, then waved his hand back in the direction of the city. To Ash's, Max's, and Dawn's collective amazement, there in the very center of the city's airspace, is a small stadium-like building. It's not very hard to miss; after all, the perpetual twilight gave it excellent cover, even if you're right below it.
The sign read: Neo Fuschia Gym, where the only limitation is within the trainer.
Max was still seen gawking at the stadium. It was hovering in the air with use of four propulsion systems, and "tethered" to the top floor of one of the city's largest buildings.
"How are going to get to it?" Max asked.
As if to answer his question, a platform, large enough for all of them, appeared, coming from the gym. Uneasy at first, the group climbed on one by one. Once they're all onboard, the platform sped back to the gym.
Even before the platform could reach its base, however, Ash could hear a voice ring out, calling his name. "Ash! Hey, Ash!"
Neo Cerulean gym leader Ariel, from the outer floor surrounding the gym, was waving at them, Ash more specifically, excitedly. As soon as the platform was docked, she ran up to him and locked him into an embrace. Everyone sweatdropped at this gesture.
"Ariel!" Ash exclaimed in surprise. Apparently, being dense doesn't prevent him from being embarrassed by the hug. "What are you doing here?"
Ariel smiled up at him. "I heard about your gym battle with Armand, and learned from him that you'll be heading here next. So I thought I'd surprise you by coming here myself!"
"Uh, thanks, I think," Ash said. He pried himself off Ariel, and the latter then instead clung to his arm.
As Ash and Ariel walked ahead of the others, Marky led Max to one side. He asked, "So, it that Ash's girlfriend?"
"Uh, no," Max answered. "She just had a crush on him ever since he beat her in their gym battle. Before that, we never even knew her."
"Huh," Loraine piped up, watching as Ariel inched closer to Ash, "she sure doesn't act like it."
"It's a childhood crush," Marky surmised. "That girl is not even at the right age to find true love yet. However, your friend should be able to recognize the feeling."
"Believe Max and myself," Dawn said, rolling her eyes, "in saying that Ash may be in the age to discover true love like you said, but he's very, VERY far from realizing it." Max nodded to supplement the fact. "It's like being out at sea with no maps to chart your way."
"Well," John said, raising an eyebrow, "is he really that-" BLEEP. This time both Dawn and Max nodded.
"Nice timing on the censor," Meowth spoke up. "A second too late, and we'll be sued for plagiarism by some fallen angel."
And I thought you were out of here already?!
The interior of the gym is exactly like a stadium, only smaller. The 50x25 field at the center of the arena, fitting for the sky theme, is suspended in the middle of the stadium floor.
Ash and friends arrived at one end of the sky-bound arena. Far on the other end, stood a giant of a man of sixty. His appearance is sort of similar to those Greek gods in certain "animated films". Very fitting, considering his name.
He had very thick, white hair, and just-as-thick beard. His brown eyes are like specks surrounded by clouds. The beard covered almost entirely the lower region of his face, hiding his mouth from view. There are two unidentified Pokemon beside him.
"Yes, that would be Boreas, the Neo Fuschia gym leader," Ariel said to their inquisitive gazes. "Also, Ash," she said in a knowing voice, "he is my grandfather."
"Gr- GRANDFATHER?!" This time it was everyone who was shocked at the revelation. Ariel nodded, and smiled at their surprise.
"Welcome to my gym," Boreas called out so they can hear him. "Now, tell me, who will be challenging me first?"
Ariel looked at Ash intently, but the latter shook his head. He gestured to John who was right beside him. "John here won our little bet earlier, so he gets to go first."
"Thanks, Ash," John said. He stepped forward.
"Very well. Take your place. Your friends can sit in the stands. Ariel..."
"Yes, grandpa." Ariel, for the first time since reuniting with Ash, let go of him, and ran over to the center side of the arena. Obviously, she's the one who's going to act as referee.

-Huh. I just noticed that my Neo gym lineup consists of the four basic elements(fire, wind, water, earth) not present as a complete set in other regions. EDIT: James, I couldn't link it. Not even the link showed on the draft. i'd try Photobucket, but my computer's slow on uploads.
