Side-Stories are pwnular....
Anyway, did you figure out who will die yet? I'd say base it on relationship, but that would leave you to write tons of branches to the story.

I have some ideas on who will die. A kind of "you can stop them from dying if you play your cards right" might be nice.
As an update on what is being done so far:
I still have a lot of work to do on systems. I think my biggest hurdle right now is getting all the moves done, since there are so effing many between all the games xD I have them done for electric, fire, water, grass, flying, normal, and fighting right now.
EDIT: Correction. I just have Dark, Ground, and Steel type moves left to do.

Hmmm... I'm thinking I could help with move combos, since figuring the right mixture of elements is important to this.

Combo moves will be an awesome addition, for sure.
They'll likely be based on the relationships trainers have with each other. Stronger relationship = able to co-ordinate attacks better. Perhaps it can be called 'Sync up' or something (Pikachu/Buneary or Sceptile/Blaziken being examples of Pokemon who can do a Sync up)
But the nature of the moves and the like, I'm not 100% sure of yet, so any thoughts you have on possibilities would be great.

I would think the Aqua Jet/Ice Beam combo I came up wth (befor eseeig the episode in which Nintendo somehow stole it from me) would be kiler.
BTW, I was joking about Nintendo stealing it from me

Ah, well, there are a variety of Pokemon RPG projects already out there, at various levels of completion. Some of them you star as an original trainer while in others, you are Ash or Brendan. I haven't played any of them, but I've seen screenshots here and there. The first ever project on Pokemon for RPG Maker was (if I recall correctly) started back in 2000 when RPG Maker 2000 had come out.
So, keeping in mind that there are already such projects, I'm hoping to make this one stand out by having originality both in the gameplay and in the storyline.
Acanthite forums? I can't say I've been there before, or heard of it really, so it's probably just a fellow a bit like me you are thinking of.

I took a quick look around and it's definitely interesting. Thanks for the link. One thing that really stuck out was their Missingno. Pokemon xD
Interestingly enough, the plot for this game involves Missingno. I don't want to spoil anything though, so I'll just leave it at that.
