Note: This is from the song by Disturbed called "Inside the Fire" which will be played here.
It was a harsh day. Ash Ketchum got groceries from the store and opened the door. When he went inside he dropped his bags (note: I'm not saying what will happen so I'll go with the devil singing. If you want to see that part go to youtube and type in Disturbed- Inside the Fire video) Then Ash started to here voices in his head... aka the devil talking to him
(edited inside the fire lyrics)
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh
May won't see another day she's just another lost soul now to be mine again see her you'll never free her and she'll get rained with my pain
[chorus] May won't see one more day unless you you oh oh have to pay ay! give your soul to me for eternity release your life to begin another time with her and your grief with me theirs another way release your life take her place inside the fire with her!
May will feel pain when it rains on your day she will feel unreal just like what will happen to you ooo
[chorus]
[guitar starts]
May won't see another day un unless you pay
hahahahaha
(Ash is seen in heaven)

To explain, the devil forces Ash to either give up his soul to his possession, or see May die and know that she will be burning in Gehenna (it's more recognizable by its modern name), and Ash chooses to take her place so he can see her again in the afterlife.

^ But if Ash takes May's place and burn in Gehenna (whatever that is), then wouldn't May's soul become the possession of the devil? How would Ash see her in the afterlife if he is burning in Gehenna? If Gehenna is heaven, I doubt Ash would burn there, so it can only mean Gehenna (the one you're talking about; not the one in the story) is "hell".
Nice story by the way.

Unless the burning was symbolic like (sorry if I offend anyone) "burning brimstone" when "hell" in the says bible it is a dark place? It would light things up. so it's symbolic. Another example: Jesus said when he would return he would be surrounded by flames and would bring a sword in his mouth. But he wouldn't be saying anything 'cause he'd be choking on a sword. You get what I mean.
Anywho, even if that's not what you meant, It's still a great story.
