Aw... T.T
Anyway...I feel pretty helpless right now. It's just really J how they just perceive the female characters as objects... Gah! It's infuriating!

I was thinking the same thing. Even their own country is demanding more storyline (Japanese are HUGE pokemaniacs). They must be screwing with us. Wish I owned Pokemon I would fire alot of people thats for sure.

I'd probably hire Kazushige Nojima for a scenario writer. Maybe have Shigeru Miyamoto supervise it, if he ever agreed to it. But alas...it's only wishful thinking on my part. T_T

It isn't that hard to see stuff like that happening. Pokemon fanfiction has its share of lemons, after all.

*Throws up with the dark Fiddler* I did not need to know about that..... anyway the "Besides" part really cleared thins up, I mean I thought that was the ONLY reason they were on the show but I guess I was wrong.... but isn't Pokemon directed to the younger crowd? Pokemon is the only children animated show I know that uses the girls as eye candy... this is why I say that Pokemon was not meant to be a kid show. Is Pokemon directed at kids in japan? I heard there was some episodes when jessy got naked in the uncut version.....

The American adaptation was geared towards the younger generations because of the American view of animation. What many people don't realize is that most anime is originally made towards the mid to late teens.
The real problem is the difference between the American and Japanese concept of animation. When you think of American animation one of the first things that comes to mind is the slap-stick comedy of Looney Toons and such. While Japanese animation can cover an extremely wide ares of genres and would be closer classifed near Star Wars, Soap Operas, etc. depending on what you are watching (My parents are still having a hard time differentiating between them. "Why do you still watch cartoons at your age?")
And as far as I know there is no episode with nudity in it. There are only three episodes that I can think of that weren't dubbed. The first is the episode when Ash caught all of his Tauros, and that was because the Warden pointed a pistol at him. The next would be the Porygon one because one of Pikachu's Thunderbolts gave some Japanese kids seizures. And the last one that I can think of is a swimsuit competition, that one was because it had James in a bikini and fake breasts.

That explanation does make sense, I guess...
Doesn't completely explain why they don't expand on shipping. You'd think that since they're aiming it toward an older demographic than what we're aiming it at (that's what you're saying, right, LuciferIX?), they'd think that their audiences would care at least a bit more about romance in the series. On the other hand, though, a shipping conclusion would possibly create "conclusion" in Ash's story, and the writers appear to want to keep it going indefinitely.
For some reason, I can't help but feel that I'm just spewing babble... >_<

Yeah Japanese are pokemaniacs Pokemon is basically the icon of all anime. Pikachu is practically a celebrity over there... I think they are going to have Pokemon run forever but they could at least create a seperate AU Pokemon with a much better storyline and cooler action.

Well Pokemon I think is closer to the mid teens. Either way it is above the ~10 yr olds that America aims it for.
Pokemon is under the family and comedy genres of anime which makes the real placement of its demographic a little hard. At least considering that I haven't really done any research whatsoever into actually finding it. So the most I can say at the moment is that its my best guess.
As for reasons to why they aren't really showing much shipping in the show it has to be many of them, but mainly its not an essential theme for the anime so all they do is really tease its viewers with them. And even though we've talked about this before I feel that I should bring up a close example for this, the first season or two of Digimon. They had even less shipping aspects in their episodes outside of Kari/TK/Davis (at least from what I can remember so I could be mistaken) yet they had finished off with what happened to everyone in terms of relationships. Considering the similarities between the two series this shows that shipping probably won't be anything major until the absolute end. Whenever that'll be...
