Well, there was that digital mew in the pokemon tenth anniversary special. I forgot the name though.

I voted "Yes", I would have course, if I was Ash, only keep 2 other pokemon, such as Totodile, and Charizard, or Snorlax.

Wolf, could you post some of you friend's arguments that say he wouldn't have done better? Cause its hard to see how it could actually be that way.

Hang on
As you can tell he isn't that bright

Lol! That first one is hilarious! Under that reasoning they would have been dead by Johto.
The second one isn't too bad, it at least has a little more merit to it. But when you look at the typing, the only thing that changed from Johto was he swapped a Bug for an Ice.

Collapse from exhaustion? Ash brought pikachu with him, and he did not collapse from the fatigue of traveling. He doesn't even stay in a pokeball, so he uses more energy moving around in the outside world. Battle hardened veterans =/= Newly caught pokemon. He can bring a few of his finest, and Ash could still get a new outlook in the region.

Like I said the guy who made the first comment oisn't that bright. However my buddy Scott the guy who made the second comment actually does bring up a good point. Now this is where I say leave 2 or 3 spots open because while yes a new outlook is good you need more then one battle hardened vetran.

Let me guess; you mean Scott85, right? Beecause that's the only guys where that comment could make sense from.

Actually the guy I'm referring to is someone different. He hasn't been on a pokemon board in atleast 2 years. I am however trying to get him to join some of these.

i voted maybe because if he brang dome of his old pokemon he would of never leard half of the things he learned because he old Pokemon would take down the Pokemon he learns the lesson from. eg pikachu would not have learned iron tail as he could bring a water or grass type with him.if he did bring them i say he should take pikachu, totodile, charizard then caught all the ones he gets in the anime and leave them at the lab
his team in my opion pikachu, totodile, charizard, treeco , swellow, snowrunt

If Ash kept Pikachu, Charizard, Swellow, Snorlax and Sceptile, he would own many a trainer in Hoenn and Sinnoh. But I enjoy his capture of new Pokemon.

And if he did bring his experienced pokemon to Sinnoh Paul probably wouldn't be as hostile against him. The only reason that he accepts Ash even the slightest bit is because of Pikachu. If Paul then saw some of his other pokemon then his view of Ash would probably improve dramatically.

Let see if Paul gets a chance to see any of Ash's other pokemon after Sinnoh is done.

Oh I don't doubt that we will be seeing at least Charizard while in Sinnoh. Even after allowing him to stay in the valley we have seen him multiple times along the way. Just wait for a hard battle to show up.
