This thread is for that if ever you have a debate/argument/war about one ship, in particular Advanceshipping, against another ship, and you find the opposition's point/post difficult to counter, then this is where you post it, so that the members of this forum can help you out.

Well for anybody who would want to know. Here's my advice:
1. Do not flame
2. Use facts
3. If the other side pulls out idiotic facts(or waffling through it), tell them straight to their face about how theie point isn't making much sense (if any)
4. Keep your point plain and simple, so you know what you're defending.
5. Keep your cool, things could get intense, and you can find yourself outnumbered.
6. Remember what the aim of the argument is.
7. If somebody says 'Well that would be in your opinion' you can either support how it's a fact, or say 'No $-17 sherlock. I'm typing it, of course it's my opinion. it's like how you(insert example of other using an opinion)
8. Pictures say a thousand words. They can't be countered easily (and even if they are, you can always pick out something else from the pic, to defend it), so use them to your advantage.
9. Use stats. Facts, as in shipping opinion is usually used. Use RL facts to support your statement. Numbers are usually the best.
10. Keep your word vomit at a low. Attempt to speak calmly, and reason with the other side. That way you hold the high ground. It Will get hard to keep it down to a minimum. But my advice is Relax.
11. It's a forum, you can always walk away, think and then post things up.
12. What ever you do. Don't give an inch, or they'll take a mile
13. Think about what the others say. You may interpret it differently, for all you know they could have put up a load of bull, but in a way that you wouldn't notice.
14. Remember, you are not contracted to stay in the argument. Not exactly dedication, but it's your decision weather you want in or not. and even then you can always get out. It's the little 'x' button on the top right.
15. Respect the others. Even if you think they are completely insane. or have just offended you. A constructive, calm voice, is usually better than a fruit you, you fucking fuckers
The're people just like you, probably fighting for the same reason as you. Just a bit pissed maybe. Who knows the respect you show could help your cause for arguing.
That's my advice. I can only hope it helps someone.

^ Following these suggested guidelines also make us look better and more mature when compared to the contestshippers and pokeshippers.
Remember, we cannot look better if we argue the same way they do, so DO NOT STOOP down to their level.

One more thing.
Keep the debate inside of that ONE thread. Don't let ANY conversation about it leak out onto anywhere else in your life (unless asking for help). If you let them stay on your mind constantly. You're letting them control you. Always remember, there's always the option of walking out. It's just a debate. Nothing will come out of it, apart from big egos, and people looking like @$$es.
