This debate has come up a lot recently. Personally having been hounded by some corrupt cops recently I am more then willing to agree that the police have been taking things to far as of late. It seems that they are getting oput of control and abusing the power of their badges. What do you think. Also if you had any bad experiences feel free to mention them. I will point out that I'm in an on going case with a couple of corrupt cops that has lasted two years now.

S---!! That's bad, having going at them for two years. Although nothing can epitome the absolute corruption involved with the Sean Bell case.

Corrupt cops are everywhere, and it's something nobody likes. Here in Holland, the reputation of the cops are below zero for quite some time now... The job isn't worth it, in many ways. Low salaries, when you're a cop in the 'big' cities you need to deal with foreign youth like Marocs and Turks, also most of the civilians don't like cops... As for the corruption part, here in The Netherlands there isn't much corruption amongst those ranks (street cops) but instead amongst the judges etc. I understand that you will have never heard of any of these stories, but here in the Netherlands they're quite famous: 'Schiedammer Parkmoord, Lucia de B., Puttense Moordzaak and the Deventer Moordzaak.'
No, the police is definately not popular. I wish you luck with the case you're dealing with.

I'm not referring ton popularity but the fact that the levels of corruption seem to be sky rocketing at an alarming rate.
