(Blame Avatar shippings for this strange/crazy/unique(?) idea. ) So I was lurking on some Avatar forums, and an idea crossed my mind while I searched in shipping sections: Which shipping is the most fun to deal with and play around with in fandoms? The mutual/canon shippings where the two like eachother and everything is built and has a stable ground for the shippers of this paring? The One-sided shippings where one character likes the other but we have no idea about that other charater, and it gives the shippers some ground to work with but you can still use your imaginations and work off of it? Or the non-canon shippings where the shippers imaginations can run wild and believe anything they want if/when their shipping happens but has no working space/too much? So basically, my question is: Which kind of shipping do you think is the most fun to ship, and why? A simple question, no? My answer is that I like one-sided shippings. Mainly because it not only gives you some hope of the shipping (which I love) but you also have some working ground for fanfics/fanarts/AMV's and so on and so forth, which I find fun to write about in 1st person point of veiw and gives me great ideas (hoorah for no witers block!). I also get a kick of drawing one-sided shipping, mainly because I have something to work with. It gives me a job, which I enjoy to work with and work off of to my best advantage. You may use examples of other fandom shippings, just make sure what you're using is confirmed, and as always: Follow the rules and enjoy. ;D

Well, I like how the canon or near-canon pairings have a base to start from, but one-siders can make it more interesting, especially if a writer is placing his/her career on the pedestal for a one-sider. The way you convene their emotions can either make or break you.

True, canon pairings do have a base, but it also means the writers have given you the limits of the releationship of the two characters. Making it a bit harder for you to move around with the shipping.
