Now... I have been hearing quite a bit on this recently, and I have to ask, does anyone actually support this wiretapping? The law that protects phone companies from lawsuits ocer it?

The phone companies don't care about what they're listening to unless someone is doing something wrong; that's my take on it anyway.

Wiretapping is only applied to phone lines that are contacting known terrorists organizations, i can bet you all the money i'll ever have that no one has ever heard a conversation i've had over the phone but because the liberals wanted to pull the wiretap out of context, they said george bush was listening to everyone in america over the phone. Just like thye accused him of blowing up the twin towers
When I say "Known" terrorist organizations, i mean like the Hezbolah or Hamas

Not really. That's their excuse. They could listen to any of us. And I don't think they need a warrent anymore (Against the Bill of Rights)

But if wiretapping has been done even before we noticed it and we had no problem with it, then where's the harm?

But if wiretapping has been done even before we noticed it and we had no problem with it, then where's the harm? Well, there are privacy issues for one thing. I'm sure that many of us have had conversations we wouldn't want to be overheard.

Wow so their really gonna suspect people with a clean criminal record to be plotting the idea of running planes into the side of skyscrapers. I mean, Heck a 13 year old couldn't even fly a plane. Let alon stand a chance when an Air Martial beats him to the ground and removes of any potiential weapon he has

I was being sarcastic.....
However much the liberals wanna strecth the truth the truth will always be that the only wiretaps are those contacting known terrorists. and even if why would the white hose need a Warrant? THEY ARE THE WARRANT!

^ Not only that, but it's not practical for phone companies to listen to all phone conversations in the country.
