Many believe May's Blaziken is female, and that sounds rather masculine. It is probably not only gender but species as well that determines the voice.
To me personally, I always assumed Dawn's Piplup was male. Though the only definite females on her team are Buneary and Ambipom.
As far as I know, Ash's only confirmed female Pokemon is Bayleef. Though there was speculation Gligar may be female as well, with its behavior and its apparently smaller stinger.

May's Venusaur is 'confirmed' female. Because of the seed in the flower. I always thought of Blaziken as female, just cause it was fun to make my bro belive that. So I just started believing myself, I guess. Seriously, a pokemon like that, do you think it would have a feminine voice? Uhg, I always forget bout that Gligar. Not very importante inmy book.><

It might be very soon. In DP 081 Ash and co chase after Gligar who is blown away by a wind and then run into Paul. They have a massive argument about how Pokemon should be treated and raised. So Ash challenges Paul to a battle. Though I know Ash will definitely use Chimchar, I get a feeling that Ash's Gligar may evolve into a Gliscor, which is a VERY useful Pokemon.
They also meet Crasher Wake very soon! Looks like the badges are coming thick and fast now. But probably not since Ash has to go all the way back to Hearthome City and then all the way to Canalave City and THEN all the way to Snowpoint City AND THEN ALL the way to Sunnyshore City.
Another interesting thing I noticed, May is the only one of Ash's traveling companions aside from Brock to have met all of Ash's other traveling companions. Though unlike Brock, she hasn't met all his rivals.

I was about to ask where you got that from James, before I looked on Bulbapedia.
I swear that text wasn't there earlier......
It should be cool to see Ash vs Paul again, we haven't seen that since the start of the Saga. Gliscor FTW!

Finally, an Ash vs. Paul battle! -crosses fingers for Ikarishipping-
Sinnoh is a big place, I say we're gonna have 4-6 seasons out of it. It's been going pretty well aswell.=D

IT is BIG, so i'm agreeing with you. However, I'll pass on the IkariShipping. And, anything develop on the rumor of a Misty return? I certainly heard about that.

I'm pretty sure that any/all rumors of Misty returning are soley based off of the fact that Crasher Wake is a water gym leader, so therefore (in some people's minds, apparently) Misty must make an appearance because she, too, is a water gym leader.

This is Pokeshippers and Contestshippers wishful thinking. I'm inclined to agree with Miranda on this one, it's only because Wake is a Water Gym Leader. The episode with Crasher Wake however seems to focus on Croagunk (as a species) for some yet unknown reason.

yeah, the Pokeshippers are probably jealous of May getting more 'visit-time' in DP than Misty did in AG. And the Contestshippers.... well, that's kinda obvious.
Remember, Croagunk is the Town Mascot of Pastoria. I don't know why exactly, probably something to do with the marsh.

Don't forget, we also were able to get a hint with her return. What did the Pokeshippers get on Misty's second return? An Orangeshipping hint.
Like Miranda and James said, its nothing but wishful thinking. The chance that Misty would leave the gym in the hands of her sisters just to visit Ash for no reason other than he's going to a fellow water-type gym in Sinnoh is pretty much zero.

Lol, you guys make it sound like Misty and May are in prison by referring to their recurring time on the show as "visiting time".
Misty's return, like what Cascade said, is probably wishful thinking. If it was true, I would know because it would be all over the Pokemon community by now.
I still hope that Vineshipping is still alive.

Speaking of Pokeshippers and wishful thinking, I actually remember reading in a couple of threads that some of them believed that the Kaito(sp?) dude from the contest would really be Misty under a fake name. You know, since Wallace there is a water-lover and all things water related are immediately Misty-related in their minds.

If that's true, then Juan MUST make an appearance, and every other water Pokémon trainers. I wish I had half the imagination the PSers and CSers have...

And they reckon we Advanceshippers come up with a lot of crap. That is pretty funny (and desperate).
