There is always the chance to meet her at Oak's Lab, that is where their loversaurs are. And maybe... an egg? Actually that would be a quite good one, with a link to Vineshipping.

Anyways, back to a question I have; when May returns, will she be a main character again, or will she make appearances every so often like Paul or Zoey?

If they meet up with her again than there are really only a couple possibilities. First is that she will return as a main character, and second is that she'll get her couple episodes of "visiting time" like Misty did.
Because she was already a main character once they wouldn't have her recur as often as Zoey or Paul. Those two are basically traveling alongside Ash, Dawn, and Brock. If May were doing that she would just join up with the group again. Even under the reasoning that she wants to get better by herself wouldn't mean that she would pass up traveling with friends again (not to mention Brock's cooking). She would just train by herself away from the others if she wanted to to that.

May had a tiny cameo in the latest episode of Diamond and Pearl (she was half on screen) but not mentioned or heard. Looks like there is continuity between the movies and the anime, because Ash could use aura to sense where Riolu was (it looked like Spider-Man's spider-sense). Also might be a potential spoiler in the future, Dawn may obtain Swinub and Ash's Gligar might evolve. It was seen briefly during a preview of the new Giratina Shaymin movie. It was weird because it had all of their Pokemon out of their Pokeballs, and there was Pikachu, Staravia, Turtwig, Buizel and Chimchar, but also a HUGE Gliscor. With Dawn's was Piplup, Pachirisu, Buneary and Ambipom, but also a Swinub. And Brock's...they were still all the same.

Even if it was only a cameo in Oak's poetry its better than nothing.
Ash was so close to getting that Riolu, if its old trainer wouldn't have shown up there would have been a very good chance that it would have wanted to join up with him. But this did cement the discussion of the movies being separate or with the series. Ash had a lot of Aura issues in those episodes and it looks like a decent chance that he will get one sometime in the DP series.
I wonder how Gligar will evolve and how Dawn will get the Swinub. Gliscor would actually be a good addition to Ash's team although I'll have to check again to see if it is bigger then usual. What will really be interesting will be with the second episode of the next hour special. There is apparently going to be a Pikachu vs. Raichu battle again. Although it is doubtful that he will actually use it, Pikachu will be considering using Ash's Thunderstone again.

^ Gliscor's average size is about 6'7" so it's supposed to be enormous, which is totally awesome! Does Ash actually own a Thunderstone?

Yep he still has the one that Nurse Joy gave him before his second battle with Surge. Pikachu refused to use it then and will almost definitly refuse to use it again. Although it will be nice to see Pikachu think about the prospects of evolving. Besides you have Pikachu using that Thunderstone in Project Arceus to save Ash.

Remember though, sizes in the Pokedex are meant to be length, not height. That means Gliscor is 6'7" from head to tail. Loads of places list Feraligatr as the tallest starter pokemon because its 'size' is 7'7", but that's actually its length from nose to tail, not height from its feet to its head. That's a good point, you do have Ash as owning a thunderstone in Project Arceus.

With the flow of new episodes in the U.S stagnant, some of us are left in the dark about this stuff. What is May's cameo like? Was it a memory, a scene from the movies, or what? A gliscor...this will be interesting in the leagues. Finally, something major from the movie will be referenced to in the future episodes.

It was a flashback picture while Oak was doing his small poetry segment that he does at the end of every Japanese DP episode. That time it was on Pokemon Rangers and they had a screenshot of the episode with Deoxys and the female Ranger (Her name was Hinata in the Japanese version not sure what it was in English). In the screenshot of the ranger May was partway in it.

^ Girl Pokemon Ranger was named Solana in English. Dave, if you get a chance to see the episode where Paul captured a Gliscor, it is actually an exceptionally large Pokemon, so I guess the length would include head to tail, but even taking that into account it was larger than James, who is taller than the main characters. I hope Ash does get Gliscor. As for the Thunder Stone it was interesting (but I doubt he'll do it) to see Pikachu staring so seriously at the Thunder Stone, like it was seriously considering evolving. I would like it to evolve one day, but not now, maybe in another 10 years!

Well if the movie preview is correct, even though Pikachu will consider it he won't in the end. And I seriously doubt that he will anytime soon as well due to the fact that he is the mascot for the entire franchise.
And when you look at Gliscor's size comparison in the games he is a lot taller than the main character. Even if you give Ash a few inches Gliscor would still tower over him. I just hope that he (or more probably she) learns how to fly by then. Then again apparently Gliscor is almost 30% lighter than Gligar.

Well, I don't find that very likely. The writers always try to find something new to do, and I don't personally think that they'd like to relive another moment from the past. Seeing as it would be one eps forward, and several series back.

I haven't seen any Japan-exclusive episodes yet, only screenshots on serebii, where Gliscor looked just a bit bigger that Gligar.
Hippowodon, on the other hand, looks MASSIVE!

If I can find the screenshot I'll post it, but you can see Gliscor is actually a pretty massive Pokemon (not as big as Hippowdon though). EDIT: Here's two screenshots of Gliscor's size in comparison to average sized people and Team Rocket. You could assume Gliscor would be large enough to carry Jessie or James on its back, Ash easily.
