Right, firstly I think Wi-fi can scale Pokemon down to Lv. 50 if it's neccesary.
Secondly, one of my good friends pitched an idea to me when I told him about this. He suggested we did this on a seperate, battle-only forum, which he would be more than happy to set up. We could advertise on places like here and Serebiiforums, attracting people.
Challengers would apply with a set team of six (no switching for different gyms), then battle each other for a while. When they've won 5 battles, they can challenge a gym, and then repeat for each gym. When they've beaten our gym leaders, they can go for our Elite 4.
The first challenger to beat the E4 becomes champion. When someone else manages it, they battle the champion. So we'd need 8 gym leaders, and then an Elite 4.
I'ts just an idea, but it makes sense. Like I said, he told me he'd be happy to set up the forum, and be a Gym Leader. We could keep the region and everything!
Let me know what you guys think.

Cool, glad you two approve, at least. For the Elite 4, twelve Gym leaders could battle each other, and the strongest 4 become the E4. My friend would come on here to do it, but he's not really into the whole 'shippyness' thing.
Ahh, my lovely Kingdra, levelling you up will be fun.

Brilliant idea, ;D. That was part of the original idea, but this is including the region that we chose right? The gym battles and league battles would take place in the proposed forum, but regular wi-fi battles can take place in this forum, correct? It doesn't take that long to get to lvl 100, especially with Lucky Eggs. If anything it takes longer to pick the one to get there. Although I do wish the Elite Four would have been powered up the second time through like in FR/LG. Which one is better lucky egg or experience share? What's the difference anyways?

Yeah, we could have a map of Satoru up, with labels saying the names of towns/cities, and the Gym Leaders of each.
We'd need to keep a log of challengers, so that might go in the new forum. Each potential challenger needs 5 wins agains other potential challengers before they can challenge each gym, then issue a challenge to the Gym Leader. Of course, we could still have battles here, with normal teams.
Exp Share gives half the Exp earned in a battle to a pokemon. Lucky Egg doubles the amount of Exp recieved, but the pokemon holding it has to be in battle. Once a pokemon's at a hight enough level, give it the egg, and go throught the league. It'll get twice as much Exp as usual. This is how I get my Pokemon to Lv. 100 so fast.
Oh yeah! Just filled the National Dex! Wooooooooooo!

As long as you're cool with it man. It is your region after all. I just thought this would be fun to do. I don't think the Gym Leaders should have numbers, challengers could just pick one at random after 5 wins.
If all 12 'official' trianers battle each other, the four with most points get put in the Elite 4, so you might as well go for it.
If you guys really like this idea, then I'll tell my friend, and he'll probably set it up soon-ish.
This is gonna be great!

Actually they changed it, Lucky Egg only gives an extra 50% now. But either way it creates more exp while the Exp Share only redistributes it; so at least when the Pokemon can defeat an opponent by itself, Lucky Egg is better. Oh yeah! Just filled the National Dex! Wooooooooooo! So were you able to get everything but Arceus? Congrats. I still need the ones past Palkia.

However, I gotta say, this project is pretty much stuck until I complete ALL of my games, and I mean ALL of them...

^ No worries, this won't really get started until we get more members and the gym leaders develop their teams.
You can attach an experience share to the Pokemon in the battle, and that would increase the experience the Pokemon receives. That's how I use it most of the time. I asked if the lucky egg is better than the experience share because I didn't see any difference, except for the visuals.

I asked if the lucky egg is better than the experience share because I didn't see any difference, except for the visuals. It depends on the situation. If either item is used when leveling a weak Pokemon by switching to a stronger one, the weak one will gain 75% of the exp given by the defeated Pokemon. Although if Lucky Egg is used the stronger Pokemon would get 50% of the exp compared to 25% with Exp Share. The real difference is when a Pokemon defeats an opponent by itself. If the Pokemon has Exp Share equipped to it, there will be no change in the amount of exp gained because the Exp Share only redistributes 50% of the exp gained to the Pokemon that is holding it and then the other 50% is distributed to the Pokemon who participated in the battle. Because there was only one Pokemon in that battle it will gain 100% of the experience granted. On the other hand, if that Pokemon is holding a Lucky Egg and defeats the opponent by itself then it'll gain 150% of the experience granted by the defeated Pokemon. This is because the Lucky Egg grants and additional 50% bonus exp onto the victorious Pokemon. Its all a numbers game. The Exp Share can only redistribute experience, it can't make it. With the Lucky Egg, it'll create the bonus 50% from nothing. So in the end the Lucky Egg is the superior item.

THat sounds good dave, but I think we need two seperate leagues. A lv. 100 and a lv. 50. Mostly becaus esome people like me are to lazy to get Lucky eggs and level up to 100.

Yeah, maybe. My friend suggested similar, cos he's too lazy as well. If both sides have Lv. 100, then they can be used. Otherwise, it can be Lv. 50.
JB, how long do you think it'll take you to get up to speed? Just interested, cos my friend and I were considering starting up pretty soon-ish.

But, oh well, at least I have a stock of Pokerus in stasis in the PC; which my Pokemon has contracted months ago. The increased speed of getting EV points make up for this.
