Well, my friends. Here it is. The "Heart Affairs" thread. It is here for those of us who wantto discuss our love lives and those who want to give advice.

Well, I would, but at present I don't have a love-life to discuss. Good idea though!

Well, I pretty much have explained my case before, so I think this thread could be dead in an instant.

I have a complicated love life, but I'd rather not post it all over the internet....

It depends on how you look at it though......

That's kind of like me and my friend. She has a boyfriend, but doesn't really like all of the complications that go along with the relationship, while I, on the other hand, want a boyfriend, but couldn't get one if I tried. I'm always the ''sister'' or ''friend'' type, apparently. But at the same time, the only boyfriend (if he could really be called that) I ever had ended up being a real [insert choice swear word, or words, here]. ;D
So anyway, I guess my point is that both sides of the aspect have a point. While it would be wonderful to be in a relationship, it can also carry a lot of baggage and excess stress with it, as well.

^ Yeah, I know what you mean lass. When I FINALLY work up the courage to ask a girl out, the response is usually "Oh, sorry. I think of you more as a friend."
Talk about a blow to self-esteem.
However, having seen certain relationships my friends have gotten into, I don't mind the fact I'm not in one myself. It just gets a bit depressing sometimes, most of my friends have had girlfriends since they were like, 14 or something.
Basically, If I get a girl, great! If not, I don't mind waiting a little longer.

Sometimes it's better to wait a little longer, but that doesn't always works out that well. And one other thing... don't bow your head when a girl doesn't want to go out with you... Most of the time people only admire actions like that, they won't look down on you (dunno if I said it correctly) Anyway, love is something extremely difficult but when you've experienced it, you don't want anything else

^ You sound like you had some experience.
I remember that there was a girl that had a "thing" for me, a very mad feeling too, and I, as well as everyone else (although they kept quiet), knew that.
Unfortunately, I don't have any feelings for the girl, but she was persistent. She became annoying to me and my friends, and I ended up in a few embarrasing moments. One of my friend even called her a bi**h because she was a nuisance. It was not until we all graduated from middle school that she stop bothering me.
However, before we parted our ways, I (and a few other people, including the girl) realized that she lives on the same street that I live in, but the street is long, so she did not bother to visit.

That's tough Praetor. And I feel odd coming here, but I need advice.
There's this girl at school I kinds sorta might like, but I'm not so sure. tHe last girl I liked turned out to be just a short crush, and I don't want to start a relationship only to have it fall apart when I fall out of love. Plus... she's the daughter of a teacher who is also a Dram Club supervisor. I like Drama Club, and don't want to be denied it next year. Up until recently, I didn't know if she had any feelings for me... until she asked me my shoe size... and I told her........... (if you don't get that, I don't blame you)
I'd ask her to a movie or something, but I am thinking of waiting until the new school year starts to make sure I REALLY DO have feelings for her.

^ Well, since she is a daughter of a teacher, then I guess there might be little or no competition for her. Just make sure that you are in good terms with the teacher.
I doubt shoe size has anything to do with relationships, but I never know...
