Well, I'm hoping you guys will forgive me for this off-topic, but I was reading this thread again and noticed the date on the last post. On that day, by a random event, I got a chance to listen to Taylor Swift's "Love Story", and since then it's been a waterfall, a cascade, if you will. If you don't know what I'm talking about, just look to the left.

Hahah, Sp1derp1g.
I'm eternally unlucky. I do know of one girl who likes me (and yes, I like her too), and we're in the same program at University. But unfortunately I won't be able to see her until January due to her health problems (she may have leukemia; she's only 19). I only hope it's not as serious as it seems.

I hope its not as serious as it seems as well; I lost a friend to leukemia when I was about 5, and she was about 6 or 7. It was my first experience with death, and I think it really changed me. Of course, you aren't 5, but still. It's not a pleasant thing to have to deal with when even a friend dies, let alone somebody you like. All I can really say is that if it does end up being serious, be there for her. Even now, 9 or so years after my friend's death, I regret not spending more time with her before her time came, even though we didn't know until it was too late (she died a day or two after her father learned that she had leukemia).

They aren't sure if it's leukemia, lupus, or just chronic mono. Whatever it is, it's serious enough to keep her out of half the school year. I'm going to be there as much as I possibly can be from Ottawa.

@matkin: I do hope she doesn't have anything serious wrong with her. Best wishes, in any case. ... Now, it seems one of our own has been bitten by the Love Bug The only question is... with who?!
